An emotional night with the patron saint of Mijas
The patron saint of Mijas, the Virgen de la Peña, once again filled the town’s streets with her light and pure beauty during her traditional procession back to her hermitage in the El Compás on September 8th. Accompanied by thousands of residents, worshippers, and visitors, the perpetual mayoress paraded through the streets along a route marked this year by numerous surprises, tributes, and showers of petals / A.
