The town is a "pioneer" on the Coast in the management of cat colonies The mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata, together with the parish priest of Mijas Pueblo, Hermán Marcel López, unveiled the poster announcing Holy Week 2025, in a ceremony which took place on Saturday 15th in the parish church of La Inmaculada. In a church full of neighbours, brotherhoods and authorities, Mijas experienced one of the most awaited events of the year, which was organised in collaboration with the brotherhoods from Mijas and was presented by Rosa Loza, member of the Management Commission of the Virgen de la Peña / M.C. The All Stars group recognises with the Red Jacket the work of the chefs Esteban Sedeño, Fran Peinado, Lupe Rodríguez, Mathew Lee and Salvio Cantón.
