The Plenary approved on Wednesday 29th the General Protocol of Action between the SAS and Mijas Town Hall to promote the construction and operation of a high resolution centre of processes, which includes a health centre and a speciality centre. According to the collaboration agreement between the two administrations, the Town Hall will be responsible for the construction of the building, which will be located on a 12,365 square metre plot in the area of Parque de Las Lagunas II. Once built, its use would be ceded to the Junta for its operation. The centre will respond to the new Andalusian healthcare model, which aims to reduce waiting times between the first visit to the doctor, diagnosis and treatment. The PP, Vox, PMP and Cs voted in favour; the PSOE voted against. On the other hand, the delegate of the Andalusian Government, Patricia Navarro, assured on Thursday that the socialist Josele González, when he was mayor, had already arranged the signing of this collaboration agreement with the Junta / I.Pérez.
