
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
A bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) is an individualized major program that allows students with a specific field of study interest that is not covered by any available MACU major the opportunity to design their degree program. The student’s assigned IDS academic advisor discusses and oversees this process, and all plans are reviewed through the Office of the Registrar

COSTS AND FEES
Online/Evening Accelerated: Courses in the Interdisciplinary Studies program cost $455/credit hour for lower division classes and $499/credit hour for upper division classes
On Campus/Traditional: Tuition per semester (12-17 credit hours) costs $10,500 for 2026-27.

MAJOR CORE (33 hrs.)
Areas of Study require a minimum of 9 hours in upper level courses. This may be taken in one Area of Study or split between various Areas of Study for a minimum of 18 hours in upper-level courses
Additionally, course MGMT 4203 Managing Teams is required as a capstone course
