Bill Might Award More School Funds By Chris Lundy TOMS RIVER – The State Senate passed a bill that would add a one-time funding boost to districts hurt by the latest state aid reductions, but it remains to be seen how or when the funds will be delivered. The Senate passed
S-3732 on March 20. Out of the 40 state senators, 36 voted for the measure and 4 didn’t vote. If a school district suffered from a reduction in aid under S-2 for the 2023-2024 school year, they would receive 66% of the cut aid (School - See Page 6)
