Southern’s Annual Food Drive Collects Over 72,000 Items

By Kimberly Bosco MANAHAWKIN – It was an abundantly cheerful holiday season for all in the Southern Regional community. Students, faculty and staff came together to collect a whopping 72,095 nonperishable food items for donation during the month of December. This was the district’s

18th year of donating food items to the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and students did not disappoint. More than 72,000 items were donated by the generous efforts of students giving back to their community. The haul was shown off during the school’s annual holiday (Food - See Page 4)
