ollege brings constant change. It asks that students exit their comfort zones over and over in pursuit of something new: knowledge, connection, community or even another overpriced place to live. For many, that can be scary. But at the University of Michigan, change also means progress — each and every Leader and Best who passes through is surrounded by opportunities to better themselves and build a place to call home. In their time on campus, this graduating class has seen a lot of change. They have experienced two presidents in an ever-shifting campus climate. They have watched the Wolverines win a national championship not only in football, but
in basketball as well. They have certainly felt the anxieties of tumultuous public discourse. But, despite all the uncertainty, they have flourished and found passion in learning and independence. Now, graduation marks another change. As you walk across the stage, holding your diploma earned with hard work and perseverance, a different life waits on the other side. From the University to whatever adventure comes next, this time in Ann Arbor has provided you with the foundation to move forward into the world. That world will continue to change, but one thing is for certain: You will always be a Wolverine. Congratulations, class of 2026. Go Blue.
