Meet our good friend Bunny.
Bunny’s a 27-pound American Blue Heeler mix with a big personality packed into a smaller frame. She’s super alert and notices everything (seriously, nothing gets past her), which means she can be a bit vocal when something feels new or a little scary. When you first meet her, she might bark to say, “Hey, I’m unsure about this!”—but if you go slow and give her a minute, she starts to relax. And once she does? That sweet side really shows up. She’s actually a total love bug who enjoys affection, even if she acts a little independent at first.
She doesn’t love being left alone, so she’d do best with people who are around a lot or willing to help her build confidence. She’s still learning her puppy manners too—sometimes she gets excited and jumps up to say hi—but she loves treats, which makes training way easier (and tastier).
What Bunny really needs is a patient human who’ll help her see the world isn’t so scary. With time, consistency, and some positive reinforcement, we know she’s going to grow into a confident, happy companion who’ll stick by your side.
