About the Artist

I’ve always loved to draw and grew up surrounded by packets of crayons and paints, and spent many an hour colouring on any scrap of paper I could find. Pursuing my creativity as a career, I have had designs published on greetings cards, gift bags and wrapping, home décor, flags, ceramics and fabrics. Working from my home studio in a diverse range of styles, I like to mix traditional watercolour painting with elements of digital imagery to create rich and textured designs, and love the process of putting my artwork into repeating patterns and seeing them come to life as fabric collections.

Gerry Murray has used delicate watercolour icons in hues of mint greens, yellows, pale blues, pinks and turquoise with accents of black. The collection is made up of adorable illustrated umbrellas, gentle raindrops, watering cans, spring blooms, delicately wrapped floral bouquets and playfully patterned Wellington boots. This collection of soft raindrops on pretty umbrellas inspired patterns is a delightful collection suitable for any joyous quilting project.

About the Artist

Gerry Murray graduated with an MA in Ceramic Design from Staffordshire University in 1993. After growing up in Northern Ireland, she has lived and worked in the UK for over 30 Years. Creating, designing and licensing artwork worldwide has been her absolute passion! Kris Lauren – illustrator, designer and teacher, lover of all things artsy for as long as she can remember. Living in beautiful British Columbia, Canada, Kris creates from the comfort of their home surrounded by her husband and 3 boys. As an artist, she knows how challenging and time-consuming it can be to create elements and graphics from scratch. Having the opportunity to assist small business owners and fellow creatives by offering graphic elements for their projects brings her immense gratification, inspiring her with fresh ideas every day.
