DOLCE&GABBANA SPRING–SUMMER 2026: A DIALOGUE BETWEEN BOUDOIR AND THE STREETS
This season, Dolce&Gabbana has once again turned the fashion world’s gaze toward a conversation between private and public style — transforming the intimate into the iconic, and infusing effortless elegance with bold attitude.
From the runway at Milan Fashion Week to the sunwashed scenes of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2026 ADV campaign shot by Steven Meisel, the collection maps a journey where softness meets structure, sensuality meets confidence, and daywear becomes an expression of personal freedom.
RUNWAY REVELATIONS: “PJ OBSESSION”
At the heart of Dolce & Gabbana’s womenswear presentation is “PJ Obsession” — a striking reinterpretation of masculine nightwear through a feminine lens. Consisting of 66 looks that blur the line between boudoir and boulevard, the collection plays with contrasts in silhouette, texture and attitude.
Classic men’s pyjamas are masterfully reimagined: oversized or slimcut, embroidered with crystals and hard stones, they become statement pieces — where relaxed tailoring meets seductive detail.
Black lingerie — jewel-bralettes, corsets, and lace briefs — peek through open shirts and soft trousers, weaving sensuality into everyday wear. Evening interpretations in sheer black fabrics elevate nightwear into a form of sophisticated glamour designed to be seen. Sharp tailoring, bold tuxedos styled with lace tops, and animalier prints inject energy and luxury into the collection, while accessories like stiletto sandals and furry slides finalize the toggling between comfort and couture.
The PJ Obsession woman is effortless yet commanding: she borrows masculine codes, infuses them with intimate sensuality, and makes them distinctly her own — moving with ease from bedroom to street, club to red carpet.
MEN’S SPRING–SUMMER: PYJAMA BOYS
The men’s runway continues the theme of merging loungewear with everyday sophistication. Anchored
by what the brand has dubbed “PYJAMA BOYS”, the collection celebrates a wardrobe with a versatile, cosmopolitan soul — one that responds to city rhythms and holiday reverie with equal ease.
Pyjama silhouettes — cut in lightweight cotton jacquard with classic vertical stripes — serve as the central motif, proving that comfort need not forsake elegance. Soft cuts, pleated trousers, oversized shirts, and jackets evoke a sense of relaxed Mediterranean leisure, while premium leather pieces and handcrafted knitwear affirm
artisanal mastery. Pleats, wide hems, and gentle tailoring elevate casualwear into polished form. For the evening, pyjamas gain precious presence through luminous handembroidered stones and crystals, balancing ease with refined detailing. Accessories from cameo brooches and collar pins to Sicily bags, sneakers, and slides underline a wardrobe that is thoroughly modern yet deeply Italian in spirit.
Extending beyond the runway, the Spring/Summer 2026 ADV Campaign — photographed by Steven Meisel — captures the
relaxed yet expressive spirit of the collection. Rather than staging high-drama scenarios, the images unfold with serene ease and intuitive poise, casting men and women in effortless poses that reflect the season’s thematic core: the interplay between masculine and feminine, private and public, intimate and expressive.

In the campaign’s visual narrative, lingerie and oversized pyjamas share space seamlessly; tailoring embraces casual understatement; everyday life becomes a backdrop for discovering new meanings in style. This aesthetic — rooted in authenticity and personal expression — aligns perfectly with Dolce&Gabbana’s enduring identity while propelling it forward through a lens of contemporary relevance.
PALETTE, FABRICS & MOOD
Across both women’s and men’s collections, materiality plays a defining role: premium cottons, French lace, sheer black fabrics, supple leathers, and linen-viscose blends form the tactile backbone of the season. The colour palette balances purity and depth — from pure white and absolute black to beige, brown, Bordeaux, and hints of gold, with animalier accents adding dynamic flair. Accessories — whether stiletto sandals, terry slides, or structured bags — complete the visual language of a wardrobe that feels both luxurious and lived-in.

What emerges from Dolce&Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2026 season is a celebration of duality as identity. In a cultural moment that prizes authenticity, the brand’s vision — at once seductive and relaxed — resonates as a manifesto of style that doesn’t choose between glamour and ease. Through runway innovation and campaign storytelling, Dolce&Gabbana has once again crafted a collection that invites interpretation, stirs desire, and defines a new kind of sartorial freedom.

PRADA SPRING/SUMMER 2026 CAMPAIGN IMAGE OF AN IMAGE
A perspective on Prada. Reconsidering the Spring/Summer 2026 Prada collections by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, Prada’s campaign continues to investigate the very nature of advertising itself, by at once reimagining both the actuality and meaning of the campaign image, the medium and the message.
In work that re-appropriates and re-considers photography –advertising, art, culture – across two decades the American artist Anne Collier has constantly interrogated
our relationship with the image, the act of looking and being looked at. For the Prada Spring/Summer 2026 campaign, Collier is asked to execute a specially-commissioned portfolio of images that fundamentally redress our idea of a fashion campaign in the digital age.
Collier’s intervention renders the Prada Spring/Summer 2026 campaign as a physical, material object, one to be held, and felt. In each still-life composition, outside hands hold aloft speciallyshot imagery of the collection,
photographed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch. Like an additional observer, or a reflection of ourselves as onlookers, these images are observed admired, perhaps desired – examining the mechanism of advertising as a medium. In a play on perspective and reframing, within these lovingly-held photographs Prada pieces are worn by a cast of actors
and personalities: the actors Levon Hawke, Nicholas Hoult, Damson Idris, Carey Mulligan and Hunter Schafer, the musician John Glacier, and the model Liu Wen. Their presence and personalities bring another depth and meaning to the photography – a further concept of those observed.
This Spring/Summer 2026 Prada campaign is both a celebration of fashion imagery, and a liberation from it – an outside consideration of fashion framed through fine art, a distinct viewpoint, a search for objectivity. Meanwhile, the exchange between Prada and the work of contemporary artists reflects both a long-held interest and respect between each sphere of creation, and the brand’s deep-rooted and ongoing interrelationships with a broader panorama of global culture.

GRAFF LAUNCHES NEW HIGH JEWELLERY CAMPAIGN, UNVEILING HERO SUITE IN PARIS
A new High Jewellery campaign from Graff celebrates the vision and artistry of the House, The first visual debuts during Haute Couture, alongside the unveiling of the campaign’s hero suite: an extraordinary sapphire and diamond choker featuring a rare 31 carat sapphire.
Created over hundreds of hours by master artisans with remarkable savoir-faire, the High Jewellery suite commands attention with a powerful, striking aesthetic.
Inspired by the moment a single droplet meets a still, iridescent pool of water, the suite features over 200 carats of expertly selected Graff diamonds. Emerald cut white diamonds form a luminous, seamless surface, allowing light to flow effortlessly across its geometry. At the centre of the choker sits a 31 carat unheated emerald cut sapphire, from which pear shape diamonds and sapphires ripple outward – its form seemingly echoed in fractured reflections, dynamic and suspended in motion.
Matching earrings complete the composition, cascading with emerald cut and pear shape white diamonds and pear shape sapphires, centred by matching 5 carat emerald cut Sri Lankan sapphires. Together, the suite captures a refined mastery of lustre and movement – fluidity expressed in precious form.
Francois Graff, Chief Executive Officer at Graff, comments: “For over65years,Graffhasshaped theevolutionofHighJewellery. In celebration of Haute Couture, we unveil a suite that reflects this legacy–anchoredbytheworld’s

TIFFANY & CO. ANNOUNCES BIRD ON A ROCK: LOVE BIRDS BY TIFFANY, A NEW HIGH JEWELRY CAPSULE COLLECTION
INSPIRED BY THE EMBLEMATIC HOUSE MOTIF
Tiffany & Co. unveils the Bird on a Rock: Love Birds by Tiffany collection, a new high jewelry capsule that expands upon one of the House’s most iconic creations with fresh emotion and personality.
Reimagined with an expressive spirit, the diamond bird becomes even more animated as it soars around and alights on remarkable gemstones, embodying the connection between visionary creativity and gemological excellence that has defined Tiffany & Co. since 1837. Each piece in the collection is designed to be paired with a counterpart, allowing for further synergy between the bird motifs and the breathtaking gemstones.
“Love Birds are a bit like the descendants of the Bird on a Rock. Theycarryonthelegacyofthis iconicbird, andthatisprecisely whytheymustremainunique,” said Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer, Jewelry and High Jewelry Tiffany & Co. “Thegemstonesthat accompanytheseLoveBirdsplay anessentialroleinthisuniqueness. VictoriaReynoldsandIchoose themonebyonefortheircharacter, theirbeauty, theirpersonality— becausenotwotellthesamestory.”
Several duos are united by a shared gemstone, one cut as a cabochon, one faceted. For instance, one of the Love Birds brooch pairs is defined by two remarkable rubellites: one centered on an oval rubellite of over 36 carats, the other on a round cabochon rubellite of over 62 carats. Together, they reveal two distinct perspectives of the same remarkable gemstone, showcasing how a single stone can express multiple dimensions of color, shape and character. Other pairings create a sense of poetic tension between two separate gemstone species, such as a morganite with a rubellite, a black opal with an orange topaz or, in one extraordinary combination gray moonstone with a pink tourmaline. This species of gray moonstone distinguished by its exceptional clarity and vivid adularescence, is exquisitely showcased in this unique bird brooch—its rarity is a testament to Tiffany & Co.’s enduring commitment to acquiring legendary gemstones.
Another pair of Love Birds brooches juxtaposes an oval bi-color tourmaline of nearly 11 carats—exhibiting a beautiful forest green and burgundy color block effect—with a cushion-cut pink tourmaline of nearly 34 carats. These intentional contrasts reveal the individual character of the gemstones while evoking a sense of connection and tension between them. This approach honors the House’s legacy of artistry, inventiveness and exceptional craft, virtues that lie at the core of each creation.
Technical artistry elevates the collection, including innovative techniques in the newest pendants that allow the chain to pass seamlessly through the bird, creating the illusion of mid-flight. Select creations also spotlight
exceptional Tiffany & Co. legacy gemstones such as kunzite, morganite and tanzanite, honoring the House’s storied heritage.
With the Bird on a Rock: Love Birds collection, Tiffany & Co. ushers in a new chapter for one of its most emblematic motifs, capturing the soaring spirit of connection, individuality and love.
The collection will debut at an exclusive event during a private event in Gstaad, Switzerland.
OVERSEAS TOURBILLON A NEW AESTHETIC HIGHLIGHTED BY TITANIUM
Vacheron Constantin enriches its Overseas collection with a titanium tourbillon model featuring a deep red dial. A material perfectly in keeping with the sporty and elegant spirit of the collection, titanium is a marvel of robustness and lightness.
Certified with the Hallmark of Geneva and equipped with the ultra-thin calibre 2160, only 5.65 mm thick, the watch features a tourbillon regulator and fits comfortably on the wrist.
A TECHNICAL AND SPORTY MODEL
Titanium is a material that proves particularly well-suited to watchmaking requirements, notably for its robustness, lightness, and the sporty spirit it conveys. This metal is indeed 30%
stronger than steel and weighs half as much. Vacheron Constantin introduced titanium in 2009 for certain components of the Overseas collection, and then, from 2019, for the Everest models developed in collaboration with photographer and explorer Cory Richards. In 2022, a new milestone was reached with an Overseas tourbillon skeleton watch made entirely of titanium. Two years later, another titanium tourbillon model features a blue dial.
The finishes of the deep red dial, characterized by a sunburst satinbrushed and a lacquered flange, highlight the model’s highly horological character, particularly its tourbillon. This same attention to aesthetics is evident in the finishing touches of the grade 5 titanium case. The bracelet features polished link angles and a vertical satin-brushed finish, a detail also found on the case face. In contrast, the bezel, whose profile evokes the Maltese cross, has a circular satin-brushed finish on a sandblasted ring. This combination accentuates the slim profile of this ultra-thin model, measuring just 10.39 mm thick.
ONE WATCH, THREE STYLES
Suitable for all types of activities thanks to its lightness case and slim profile, the model comes with an integrated titanium bracelet featuring a triple-blade folding clasp equipped with a comfortadjustment system. This system allows for a 4 mm increase in wrist circumference. To further adapt the watch’s style, two additional straps in deep red and white rubber are available. They are equipped with interchangeable grade 5 titanium folding clasp that can be changed without tools.
AN ULTRA-THIN MOVEMENT
Thanks to its automatic tourbillon calibre 2160, with a profile of just 5.65 mm and a diameter of 31 mm, this Oveseas watch is distinguished by its remarkably thin case, guaranteeing optimal comfort on the wrist. This ultra-thin movement, incorporating a tourbillon cage, features bidirectional winding, ensured by a peripheral oscillating weight with a guilloché 916/1000 gold segment, giving it optimal performance and an 80-hour power reserve. This type of construction offers a dual advantage: it provides an unobstructed view of the movement and integrates the oscillating weight at the bridges, resulting in a significant reduction in thickness.
With this same focus on slimness and efficiency, the openworked tourbillon cage incorporates a peripheral drive, eliminating the need for a central pinion. This configuration ensures optimal energy transmission from the mainspring barrel to the balance wheel.
Designed to highlight the complexity of the timepiece, the movement’s finishes offer subtle plays of light on its 188 components, elegantly underscoring its sophistication. The calibre features a circular-grained mainplate, the bridges are decorated with Côtes de Genève and hand-beveled, the tourbillon shank is delicately cradled, the wheels are grained, and the screws are chamfered and polished: all details that testify to meticulous craftsmanship.
INTERVIEW WITH CHRISTIAN SELMONI, STYLE AND HERITAGE DIRECTOR
Has titanium become an essential material in the Overseas collection? Vacheron Constantin’s attraction to titanium dates back some fifteen years. Initially, this material was preferred for the case components, helping to reinforce the collection’s sporty and robust character. The last four years have been marked by the emergence of timepieces made entirely of titanium with integrated bracelets, which have established themselves as a preferred alternative to the steel watches in the Overseas collection. Titanium is particularly prized for its inherent qualities: hypoallergenic, lightweight, and possessing high mechanical and corrosion resistance. In short, it is a material perfectly suited to the Overseas spirit, a watch designed to withstand the rigors of travel.
Is a tourbillon model, known to be fragile, compatible with the concept of a sports watch?
Since the invention of the tourbillon in the early 19th century, watchmaking technology has undergone major advancements. These advancements concern not
only materials science but also crucial elements such as shockabsorbing systems that protect the regulating organs. These two elements combined now make it possible to create tourbillon watches suited to an active lifestyle with a sporty elegance unthinkable just a few decades ago. Add to that a case made entirely of titanium, and you have a slim, lightweight, and robust watch with exemplary precision thanks to its tourbillon regulator, which compensates for the effects of gravity.
Why this deep red color?
The Overseas watches form a collection that lends itself beautifully to new color explorations. This became clear when the Maison introduced a pink hue on certain women’s models and, more recently, intense green or gold dial colors. From there, it was interesting to continue by introducing new variations that bring a touch of originality. The deep red color, elegant and intense, fits perfectly into this vision.
GERALD CHARLES INTRODUCES
THE MAESTRO 2.0 METEORITE: THE MAISON’S FIRST METEORITE TIMEPIECE TO FEATURE A SMALL-SECONDS INDICATOR
Gerald Charles opens a new chapter in the Maestro story with the Maestro 2.0 Meteorite - the Maison’s first Meteorite watch with a smallseconds indicator, shaped through the iconic Maestro case architecture.
More than a material choice, meteorite becomes a canvas for creative expression, turning cosmic history into contemporary artwork.
Across the dial unfolds a living narrative - force, tension, and transformation captured at the split-second a meteorite collides with Earth. This storytelling spirit echoes the playful imagination of Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, who often used the dial as a stage for artistic expression.
Two executions bring this exceptional moment to life: the Black model embodies the instant of impact, with dark meteorite revealing flashes of red from the anodized baseplate and a fiery gradient running seconds indicator at 6 o’clock, enclosed in a Darkblast steel case. The Silver model represents stillness after the explosion, where matter cools and crystallizes, pairing a silver meteorite dial with gold accents and a polished steel case.
A MATERIAL THAT RESHAPES MILLENNIA OF HISTORY
The meteorite used for the Maestro 2.0 originates from the Muonionalusta meteorite, estimated to be over 4.5 billion years old, making it one of the oldest materials available on Earth. Having fallen in northern Sweden, the quantity of meteorite on Earth is extraordinarily rare - far more limited than gold or diamonds. Its scarcity enhances the significance of every piece produced.
Working with meteorite, however, is exceptionally complex. The material is highly ferrous, extremely hard, and cannot be cut like stone. Only electro-erosion can shape it into the Maestro form, slicing it into ultra-fine layers. Throughout the process, each fragment must remain fully submerged in a protective liquid to prevent immediate oxidation.
Executing this savoir-faire - shaping meteorite to match the Maestro’s complex geometry and engraving the explosion rays at 6 o’clock with near-surgical precision - represents one of the most advanced expressions of Gerald Charles expertise.
A DIAL THAT CAPTURES A MOMENT IN TIME
The project began with a simple brief - a meteorite dial Maestrobut quickly evolved into a far more ambitious vision. CEO Federico Ziviani challenged the design team to push the limits, expressing a moment, not merely a motif.
Designer Octavio Garcia - longtime friend of the Ziviani family and head of GC’s creative team - worked with Mr. Genta. Having served as Creative Director of Audemars Piguet for many years,
he met Mr. Genta during the Royal Oak 40th anniversary and knows the Maestro’s design language intimately. Mr. Garcia devised a striking dual-layer construction: a thin slab of meteorite above an aluminum baseplate - red for black, silver for white. Radial apertures pierce the dial to expose the charged baseplate beneath, evoking the shockwaves of impact. At 6 o’clock, a sculptural small-seconds display animates the blast, while the Maestro’s signature geometry directs the energy upward in a dynamic, rising flow.
Roman numerals and indexes appear shifted, tilted, displaced - as though physically pushed aside by the force of the blast. The proprietary Darkblast finishing conjures the smoke and powder
released in the aftermath of the impact, while the sculptural small seconds embodies perpetual motion: the continued expansion of the explosion itself.
“HonouringMr.Gentaalsomeans honouringhispioneeringuse ofsteelandthecreativespirit it unleashed. TWO OBSESSIONS. ONE PURSUIT: SPEED.
The parallels between the two brands go back to the earliest days of the automobile. In 1907, Leon Breitling introduced the Vitesse. French for “speed,” it was the first chronograph to measure speeds up to 250 miles or kilometers per hour. The device was so precise it was adopted by Swiss police to issue the first speeding tickets. A few years later in England, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford were testing their hand-built vehicle in a defining race up a steep, chalky slope called Aston Hill. The car won, and the name endured.
In 1959, Aston Martin made its debut in Formula 1®. That same era saw drivers Graham Hill and Jim Clark—both aircraft pilots as well as F1® competitors—wearing Breitling Navitimers. Developed in 1952 as a wrist-worn cockpit instrument for aviators, the chronograph’s circular
slide rule let pilots calculate speed, time intervals, and fuel consumption. Hill and Clark carried those functions from the sky to the circuit, turning the Navitimer into a trackside essential.
By the 1960s, both marques had become symbols of style and modern engineering. Willy Breitling, the founder’s grandson, shook off the austerity of postwar watchmaking with another watch,
the Top Time, a chronograph made for a new generation of speed- and style-seekers. When it appeared on Sean Connery’s wrist in Thunderball (1965) as the first Q-modified gadget watch in the James Bond franchise, it became an emblem of the era.
Aston Martin ’s iconic DB5, which made its debut in Goldfinger (1964) and returned in Thunderball, did the same on four wheels. Appearing together in the same film, they
captured the cultural fascination with Bond’s world, where sophistication met speed and hightech intrigue.

THE NAVITIMER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 43 ASTON MARTIN ARAMCO FORMULA ONE™ TEAM
The first co-branded timepiece of the partnership puts the Navitimer back in the world of racing. Limited to 1,959 pieces, it pays tribute to the year of Aston Martin’s first foray into Formula 1®.
Every element of the Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team reflects performance: Aston Martin Racing Green and lime accents drawn from the Aston Martin Aramco livery, a lightweight titanium case – the first ever used on a Navitimer – and a carbonfiber dial inspired by materials found in the cockpit of an F1® car. The textured leather strap recalls a racing harness, while enhanced nighttime visibility keeps the watch legible under any conditions.
The open sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the watch’s engine: the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer with a 70-hour power reserve, built for absolute timing accuracy under pressure. Its matte-black rotor, developed specially for this edition, is made of tungsten coated with high-durability PVD (physical vapor deposition) and features the Aston Martin Formula One™ Team logo. Additional caseback engravings include “One of 1959” and the phrase “Instruments for Drivers.”
From the chronograph to the car, the sky to the circuit, Breitling and Aston Martin have always shared a pursuit of speed. Now, they will come together again throughout the Grand Prix season.
The Breitling logo will be visible on the Aston Martin Aramco car and team apparel when the AMR26 breaks cover on 9 February at the team’s launch. The partnership makes its debut on the circuit at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, March 6 to 8, 2026.
As this shared legacy continues to evolve, fans of Breitling, Aston Martin, and Aston Martin Aramco can look forward to exclusive releases throughout the multiyear partnership. Time and speed, reunited.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars continuously seeks to extend the vocabulary of contemporary craft, developing new techniques and materials to interpret timehonoured forms that resonate across generations and cultures.
Phantom Arabesque speaks to that ambition, exploring Middle Eastern architectural heritage through a newly patented laserengraving technique, developed at the Home of Rolls-Royce.
Curated by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars
Private Office Dubai, one of five invitation-only commissioning hubs in key luxury destinations around the world, this one-of-one Phantom Extended celebrates the forms and geometry of traditional Mashrabiya latticework – a defining feature of traditional houses, palaces and courtyards throughout the Middle East. The Mashrabiya pattern is reinterpreted in various ways: as the first laser-engraved bonnet ever created for a Rolls-Royce, as an intricate Blackwood and Bolivar
marquetry Gallery artwork, and as a suite of Bespoke motifs subtly placed throughout the motor car.
ARCHITECTURAL INSPIRATION
In an architectural setting Mashrabiya is built using intricately carved wooden screens that create privacy, allowing those inside to look out without being seen. The latticework also encourages airflow,
providing natural cooling for the building’s interior. Decorative, functional and perfectly attuned to the region’s climate, these geometric forms are a hallmark of regional craftsmanship and architectural identity.

LASER ENGRAVING: A
NEW CRAFTFORM BY ROLLS-ROYCE
Phantom Arabesque is the first Rolls-Royce in history to be graced with a fully laser-engraved bonnet. This newly patented
technique is the result of a five-year development programme led by the marque’s Exterior Surface Centre. It draws inspiration from the Italian sgraffito technique – the artistic practice of revealing contrasting layers of colour by precisely
removing upper surfaces. Five years of experimentation, testing and calibration were required to perfect a process capable of delivering the depth, clarity and consistency demanded by Rolls-Royce artisans.
To achieve the effect, the bonnet is first painted in a darker colour, then sealed beneath multiple layers of clear coat before a lighter top layer is applied. The geometric Mashrabiya pattern is then engraved to a depth of just 145–190 microns into the uppermost surface, revealing the darker tone beneath. The result is a richly textured, three-dimensional surface that catches the light and invites exploration: a pattern intended to be discovered by both the eye and the hand.
Each of the engraved areas is meticulously hand-sanded to ensure an even, sculptural finish. By integrating the pattern within the paint itself rather than applying it on top, this method achieves an exceptional level of refinement and durability, while variations in laser velocity and intensity create subtle visual shifts as light moves across the surface. The project brought together the full expertise of the Exterior Surface Centre, with every team contributing to the development of this new craft form.
Tobias Sicheneder, General Manager, Exterior Surface Centre.
Phantom Arabesque is presented in a Bespoke two-tone finish, with the main body in Diamond Black and the upper surfaces in contrasting Silver. The same colour is used for the single hand-painted Short Coachline, which is elevated with a Mashrabiya motif. The exterior is further enhanced with an illuminated Pantheon Grille, set in a Dark Chrome surround and complemented by an uplit Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, as well as 22-inch part-polished alloy wheels.
INTERIOR: A STUDY IN COOL RESTRAINT
Phantom Arabesque’s interior centrepiece is presented within the Gallery, which runs the full width of the front fascia. An intricate Bespoke marquetry artwork crafted from Blackwood and Black Bolivar wood echoes the Mashrabiya design cues, and is subtly elevated with an offset clock presented in a complementary dark colourway.
The interior suite is finished in serene Selby Grey and Black leathers with Black seat piping and carpets, elevated by contrasting Black Mashrabiya motifs embroidered on the front and rear headrests. Mesmerising Starlight Doors are trimmed with Selby Grey piping and Black contrast stitching.
Illuminated treadplates bearing a cross-section of the bonnet engraving motif complete this landmark commission. www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com
Rolls-Royce Phantom Arabesque was delivered to the commissioning client from the Middle East, taking its prominent place within their collection.

BOATHOUSE AUCTIONS BRINGING CERTAINTY, SPEED AND TRANSPARENCY TO THE SUPERYACHT MARKET
In a market where time is money and uncertainty can erode asset value, a new model for buying and selling superyachts is gaining ground among discerning owners, family offices and their advisors.
Boathouse Auctions, a purposebuilt online auction platform dedicated exclusively to highquality yachts, is redefining how exceptional vessels change hands.
At first glance, “auction” may sound a world away from the bespoke discretion of traditional yacht brokerage. In practice, Boathouse Auctions has been carefully
engineered to combine the best of both worlds: the trusted relationships and rigorous due diligence of brokerage, with the clarity, momentum and timecertainty of a global digital bidding event.
Rather than replacing the broker, Boathouse Auctions works in tandem with the listing brokerage. The broker’s advisory role and relationship with the seller remain fully intact, while the auction platform adds what many owners now consider the missing ingredient: a defined process that brings qualified buyers to the table at the same time.
This hybrid model is resonating with owners who understand that berthing, crew, insurance, maintenance and operational costs can quickly dwarf the marginal gain of holding out for an aspirational asking price. A yacht that lingers on the market can quietly become stale; Boathouse Auctions offers an elegant way to avoid that slow leak of value and unites bidders in competitive battle to bring about the highest selling price.
Each auction begins with a fourweek preview period. During this time, prospective buyers are given full access to specifications, surveys, detailed documentation and extensive photography,
Yachts previously sold through Boathouse Auctions include 171ft Feadship M/Y Ice Bear, 166ft Trinity M/Y Sapphire and 136ft Intermarine M/Y Fortitude.
all professionally curated and presented online. Inspections can be scheduled, questions answered, and all due diligence completed before the first bid is placed.
The bidding itself is conducted entirely online in real time, allowing global participation without compromising discretion. Interested parties must register to bid in advance and place a deposit into escrow. Every auction is governed by clear, transparent terms, so there are no surprises. A sale to the highest bidder is final and unconditional, with closing typically completed in 30 days or less. For sellers, that means a quick and defined outcome. For buyers, it translates into confidence that they are competing on a level playing field.
Jack Mahoney, Director of Boathouse Auctions, has seen firsthand how this structure changes behaviour on both sides of the transaction. As he explains: “Selling throughauctionhasbecomean increasinglyattractiveoption foryachtownerswhovaluethe certaintyoftimeandspeed.Awellstructured auction concentrates globalinterestintoadefined timeframeandcreateshealthy competitionamongqualified buyers.Forourfirstauctionof 2026,we’realreadyseeingearly interestfrombuyersandbrokers, which reinforces what we’ve been hearingfromthemarket:sellers wantaclearoutcome, buyerswant transparency, andtheauction format delivers both.”
That “healthy competition” is perhaps the most distinctive feature of the Boathouse Auctions environment. Buyers understand that if they hesitate, the opportunity will pass. For owners, this intensity can be transformative. What might otherwise be a protracted, uncertain sales process
is replaced with a carefully choreographed timeline measured in weeks, not months or years. Importantly, Boathouse Auctions never charges fees to sellers. The platform is compensated via a Buyer’s Premium paid by the successful purchaser, aligning incentives around achieving a competitive, market-driven result.
Lots presented for sale in the first auction of the year include toppedigree Italian and American-built motoryachts with enviable charter records, as well as a highly soughtafter superyacht berth in a strategic Mediterranean hub.
The competitive bidding environment provides a visible indication of market appetite at a specific moment in time. Rather
than negotiating in a vacuum, participants can see how the market is responding. In a sector where emotion and aspiration have always played a role, Boathouse Auctions introduces a refreshing layer of discipline without sacrificing the excitement of acquisition.
As the superyacht market continues to mature, and as owners and buyers alike demand more clarity, speed and professionalism, Boathouse Auctions is emerging as a natural evolution: a bridge between traditional yachting culture and the expectations of today’s global luxury clientele. For those who view their yacht not only as a source of pleasure but also as a significant asset, it may be the most elegant way yet to navigate the waters of sale and acquisition.

HEESEN ENTERS A BOLD NEW ERA IN 2026 WITH NINE YACHTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THREE DELIVERIES SCHEDULED FOR 2026
As the Chinese New Year ushers in the Year of the Fire Horse, 2026 has begun at full gallop for Dutch superyacht builder Heesen Yachts.
Fresh from its acquisition last year by entrepreneur Laurens Last, the shipyard enters the year with renewed momentum and three yachts poised to hit the water in 2026.
Jeroen van der Meer, CEO of Heesen Yachts, commented: “If 2025 was about transformation and securing our foundation under Laurens Last, 2026 is about action. The Fire Horse embodies the drive and passion we see in our workforce every day.”
The first half of the year will see a series of major construction milestones take place at the shipyard. In January, the hull and superstructure of 57m Project Evita
were successfully joined. This will be followed by 50m Project Sophia’s departure from the outfitting shed and the launch of 57m Project Setteesettanta.
Momentum will continue throughout the year, with Project Angelica scheduled for launch in October. Part of Heesen’s successful 55-metre Steel Series, the yacht
was sold at the end of 2024 with her new owner now finalising the yacht’s interior design features with Luca Dini Design & Architecture. In total, 162 linear metres and 2,179 gross tons of superyacht are scheduled to be delivered by Heesen in 2026.
The shipyard will also continue to build on its new ‘client centric’ approach, which was introduced under the new ownership last year. Focusing on showcasing the Heesen fleet on the water, the year will start in the spring at the Palm Beach International Boat Show followed by the Dubai International Boat Show, Monaco Yacht Show, Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and Qatar Boat Show.
With a robust order book and a revitalised strategic vision, Heesen enters 2026 ready to redefine the standards of the 50 to 70-metre superyacht market. The year promises exciting announcements of forthcoming designs, offering a first glimpse of the shipyard’s bold vision for the future, while continuing to deliver exceptional Dutch craftsmanship and cuttingedge innovation.
YACHTS TO BE LAUNCHED IN 2026:
55-metre – Project Frida (Q1 2026)
Project Frida is the latest iteration of Heesen’s 55-metre Steel series. Featuring a clean and crisp exterior styling, Frida takes on a muscular yet elegant design, striking the perfect balance between being large enough to offer the luxury expected from a superyacht but compact enough to access charming Mediterranean ports.
Frida’s interior, designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture, offers a contemporary take on classic yacht design. The interior palette combines light, neutral tones, with rich mahogany wood and dark brown accents.
Frida accommodates up to twelve guests across six staterooms, including an impressive 86-squaremetre owner’s suite on the main deck. The yacht also provides accommodation for 13 crew members, ensuring exceptional service on board.
50-metre - Project Sophia (Q2 2026)
Sophia is the fourth hull in Heesen’s 50-metre class. At 50-metres and below 500 GT, Sophia is an allaluminium, fast-cruising yacht powered by green ocean engines. Heesen’s 50-metre fast-cruising class is the first of its kind below 500 GT to comply with IMO Tier-III regulations. A curvy, sporty exterior design by Omega Architects complements Sophia’s performance and crisp design features.
Heesen’s optimised, low-drag hull design with a reduced transom depth allows for a shallow shaft angle. This makes Sophia comfortable in rough seas yet perfect for cruising shallow
waters. The ultra-efficient hull shape delivers on engineering and adventure, meaning Sophia is ideal for both island hopping and longer passages.
Sophia is the fourth sister ship in this impressive class. Its elevated aft deck holds large sunpads, which is accessed via three steps up. It’s this subtle design feature that allows for a full height multi-purpose tender garage-cum-luxury beach club on the lower deck, with plenty of head room. Another key exterior feature is the downward pointing bow. This provides a good line of sight to the water from the bridge, and helps to accentuate Sophia’s long, sleek profile.
57-metre – Project Setteesettanta (Q3 2026)
Heesen’s Project Setteesettanta is a 57-metre fast displacement superyacht, scheduled to launch in Q1 2026. This yacht is the first Heesen to feature a bridge on the fourth deck, maintaining the sleek appearance characteristic of the yard with innovative design elements, including an unobtrusive mast and new flat Star Link communication panels.
55-metre – Project Angelica
Project Angelica is the newest addition to Heesen Yachts’ acclaimed 55-metre Steel series. It features an expansive internal volume, with an interior that spans nearly 400 square metres, able to accommodate up to 12 guests. The yacht’s Fast Displacement Hull Form reduces fuel consumption by up to 30 percent, while providing comfort at sea and delivering high performance, able to reach a top speed of 15.5 knots.
ARES YACHTS ELEVATES SUPERYACHT INNOVATION WITH TWO VISIONARY PROJECTS
In a world where true innovation in yachting is increasingly rare, ARES Yachts continues to quietly shape the future of luxury at sea.
Based in Antalya and backed by decades of naval, commercial and advanced composite expertise, the Turkish shipyard is steadily building a reputation as one of the industry’s most technically capable and financially stable newgeneration yacht builders, a yard trusted not only for design vision, but for structural depth and longterm reliability.
With its superyacht division now fully in motion, ARES Yachts is spotlighting two standout projects that define the yard’s DNA: SPITFIRE, now in build, and ATLAS, a next-generation explorer concept. Together, they form a clear statement. This is an engineering pedigree expressed through modern luxury.
PERFORMANCE, REIMAGINED AS LIFESTYLE
The 50.55-metre SPITFIRE is not a
nostalgic tribute. It’s a translation of aviation engineering into modern superyacht living. Designed inside and out by Bannenberg & Rowell, the yacht draws its spirit from the legendary British aircraft, but the execution is firmly 21st century.
Built in advanced composites, SPITFIRE combines a sleek, lowprofile silhouette with a highperformance fast displacement platform derived from ARES’ proven offshore patrol vessel expertise. The result is a yacht capable of 20 knots, long-range cruising, and hybrid diesel-electric operation, including extended silent modes for emissionfree nights at anchor.
Inside, the atmosphere is refined, tactile and quietly bold. Metallic accents, leather, tinted glass and architectural detailing create a design language that feels more private jet lounge than traditional yacht interior.
Set forward on the main deck, the owner’s suite opens to sweeping 270-degree views. A freestanding bed defines the room; outside, a private foredeck cockpit converts into an open-air cinema. Four spacious guest cabins below deck carry through the same quiet, contemporary elegance.
But SPITFIRE is ultimately about how people live on board. Her expansive beach club converts between lounge, cinema and gym; glazed walls open entire social areas to the sea; upper deck entertaining
spaces flow seamlessly from indoor wardroom to outdoor grill and sun zones. The experience is fluid, open and deliberately informal — performance engineering supporting real, modern life on the water.
Currently under construction on speculation, SPITFIRE is structured for an efficient completion timeline once an owner steps in.
THE PRIVATE EXPLORATION RETREAT
If SPITFIRE is about dynamic performance, the 54-metre ATLAS concept is about freedom of range and depth of experience. Its design
is penned by Hot Lab, part of the Viken Group, and naval architecture is by Van Oossanen. ATLAS sits just under 500 GT yet delivers the presence and capability of a much larger expedition yacht.
Her most striking feature is a multilevel forward owner’s terrace, a private, sea-facing retreat complete with spa pool. The master suite opens directly onto this space, turning the bow into a secluded oceanfront residence.
Aft, the beach club evolves into a three-sided open lounge thanks to fold-down terraces, cocktail bar and direct water access, less swim platform, more floating resort deck. The layout throughout prioritizes flow between interior and exterior, creating a constant connection to the environment.
Underneath the lifestyle is serious capability: a Fast Displacement Hull Form for efficiency at all speeds, transoceanic range approaching 5,000 nautical miles, a side-launching tender garage, extensive toy capacity and helipad capability. Hybrid solutions and reduced-emission technologies are also integral to the platform.
ATLAS is designed for owners who want the infrastructure of exploration without giving up the design sophistication of a contemporary superyacht.
ENGINEERING CREDIBILITY
What distinguishes ARES Yachts is not just design ambition, but background. The yard’s roots in high-performance naval and commercial vessels translate into advanced composite know-how, robust engineering standards and production discipline rarely found in boutique superyacht builds.
Combined with its modern facilities in Antalya and a track record of delivering complex vessels, ARES
represents a new type of builder: design-driven, but infrastructurestrong; creative, yet commercially stable.
While SPITFIRE moving forward in build and ATLAS defining the next chapter, ARES Yachts is positioning itself not as a newcomer but as a serious longterm player at the intersection of technology, performance and luxury lifestyle at sea.

EIGHTY 2: THE NEW PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN LAGOON & SUNBRELLA®
FOR DREAMS OF ESCAPE
As the world leader in cruising catamarans, Lagoon has entrusted Sunbrella with the textile design of the exterior spaces of the EIGHTY 2 – its new yacht whose elegance, purity of lines and seamless connection with the horizon make it a truly unique model.
Every detail has been meticulously crafted to create an experience that goes far beyond sailing: a journey of emotions. Through its tailormade textile creations, Sunbrella enhances the sense of comfort and wellbeing for every passenger on board the catamaran.
Aboard the EIGHTY 2, the interplay of textures and subtle colour combinations highlight the richness of the landscapes and wildlife encountered along the voyage. The fabrics draw inspiration from the colours of Polynesian lagoons, with their lush vegetation and shimmering emerald waters, while meeting the demanding requirements of offshore sailing. Renowned for their resistance to UV rays, weather and the wear of time, these fabrics are designed to last.
EXTERIOR SPACES INSPIRED BY THE PACIFIC ISLANDS
The EIGHTY 2 stands out for its vast living spaces, both fore and aft. On the main deck, the aft cockpit opens onto a large, adaptable platform, while the forward cockpit – a true lounge on the water – is partially covered and connected to the saloon’s bar area, extending the living space. The flybridge spans nearly 50 m², offering exceptional panoramic views throughout the voyage.
Sunbrella fabrics adorn not only the furniture, genoa, cushions and built-in seating, but also every detail of the upholstery. Whether boucle or quilted, striped or mottled, the materials pay tribute to the beauty of island landscapes.
Like scales evoking the seabed, the stripes bring rhythm and relief to the backrests of sofas and armchairs. Depending on the sun’s orientation, the seating subtly shifts in tone, from blue to deep green. Other fabrics, with their mottled grey textures and shades, recall the rocks that invite moments of relaxation.
FIVE PLACES WORTH TRAVELLING TO THIS SPRING
Spring is a practical time to travel. Temperatures are manageable, flights and hotels are easier to secure, and destinations operate without the compression of peak season. It’s when you can spend full days outside without working around heat or crowds, and when travel feels organised rather than opportunistic.
The destinations below aren’t included because they are “better” in spring, but because spring allows them to be experienced properly. Some benefit from lighter weather, others from space, and others from the simple fact that you can move through them at a normal pace.
CAREZZA, ITALY
Spring in Carezza is a transitional, magical season. As the snow retreats, this corner of the Dolomites opens into a network of walking and cycling trails, alpine

meadows and forest paths, with Lago di Carezza at its centre. The lake’s shifting green and blue tones are best seen early in the day, when the Rosengarten peaks reflect clearly in still water. Beyond this, the area is well set up for active days that don’t feel demanding. Cable cars give access to higher routes, while gentler trails lend themselves to long walks and e-bike rides. Meals are rooted in local South Tyrolean cooking, satisfying rather than showy, and well suited to days spent outside.
WHERE TO STAY:
Cyprianerhof Dolomit Resort
A refined alpine resort that balances adventure with proper restoration. Wellness is the focus here, centred around the Similde Spa, with a glass-fronted sauna overlooking the Dolomite spires, a natural bathing pond, saltwater whirlpool and treatments inspired by regional traditions. Rooms are calm and contemporary, finished with natural materials that reflect the surrounding landscape. Daily guided hikes, climbing and biking tours are available, making it easy to explore before returning to the spa.

PORTO, PORTUGAL
Porto suits spring perfectly. Temperatures are warm but manageable, making the city easy to explore on foot, from the historic centre down to the Douro riverfront. It’s a time for long lunches, café hopping and unhurried evenings, without the intensity of summer heat. The season also favours day trips. The Douro Valley is vivid and green, vineyards are active, and visits feel relaxed rather than rushed. Porto manages to feel lively without being overwhelming, which is exactly what you want from a city break.
Porto InterContinental Porto
WHERE TO STAY:
InterContinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas
Set on Praça da Liberdade, this restored 18th-century palace is positioned directly in Porto’s historic heart, within easy walking distance of Clérigos Tower, Livraria Lello and the Douro riverfront. Inside, original architecture is balanced with contemporary restraint, marble floors, high ceilings and calm, light-filled rooms that feel polished rather than showy. Astória Restaurant focuses on modern Portuguese cooking, while Cardosas Bar revives the ritual of afternoon tea alongside port wines and classic cocktails. With its discreet elegance and
exceptionally central location, it makes a refined base for exploring the city’s layered history and enduring charm.
Spring is arguably Jersey’s best season. The island is green, uncrowded and made for being outdoors, with coastal paths, beaches and gardens coming into their own before summer arrives. Its compact size makes it easy to explore, whether that means
clifftop walks, boat trips or simply finding a good spot to watch the sunset. Travel from the UK is straightforward, and the pace is noticeably slower, making Jersey well suited to a restorative break that still feels refined.
WHERE TO STAY: Longueville Manor
A lovingly restored manor house just outside St Helier, Longueville Manor is Jersey’s leading luxury hotel and the island’s only AA Five Red Star property. Family-owned and run by the third generation of the Lewis family, it is also the sole Relais & Châteaux member in the Channel Islands and a recent Michelin Key recipient. With 29 individually styled rooms, an oak-panelled dining room led by long-standing Executive Head Chef Andrew Baird, extensive gardens, outdoor pool, spa and a renowned wine cellar, it offers a polished yet personal base. The team can also arrange island experiences, from oyster tastings to boat trips and heritage visits.

reasons. This is when the city is at its most comfortable, warm days without oppressive heat, cooler evenings for outdoor dining, and a pace that allows for proper exploration. Spring suits both the city and its surroundings, from time spent in the souks and gardens to day trips into the Atlas Mountains, all without the exhaustion of peak summer.
WHERE TO STAY:
Selman Marrakech
Just outside the city, Selman Marrakech is a refined resort known for its Andalusian-inspired architecture, expansive gardens and equestrian heritage. The hotel is home to a private stable of purebred Arabian horses, which remain central to the experience, with guests able to see them exercised daily. The layout is expansive, with formal gardens, a vast outdoor pool and plenty of space to retreat from the city, while still being close enough to visit the Medina easily. Dining is a key part of the stay, including the recently opened SABO, a fine-dining evening restaurant set beneath an openroof patio, where Michelin-starred chef Jean-François Piège brings French technique together with Moroccan produce in a richly detailed Belle Époque setting.

SWEDISH LAPLAND
Spring in Swedish Lapland is a season of transition. Light returns quickly, days lengthen, and the landscape shifts from deep winter into something quieter and more reflective. Snow often still lies in the forest, rivers begin to move again, and the intensity of mid-winter gives way to a gentler rhythm. This is a destination best explored with specialists. Off the Map Travel are widely regarded as leading Nordic travel experts, designing highly tailored journeys that focus on timing, place and depth of experience.
WHERE TO STAY:

VILLA DES CALANQUES FRENCH RIVIERA, FRANCE
A luxury seaside villa, unveiling a Provençal pocket of paradise in the fishing village of Cassis, Villa des Calanques is a pictureperfect Mediterranean escape.
Tiered into the cliffs that cascade down into the azure waters of the Mediterranean, where swimmers and bathers bask in the sunshine, as the majestic Calanques of Marseille fold their limestone coves around the bays, Villa des Calanques is a delightfully private, deliberately romantic residence in the charming fishing village of Cassis.
Having direct access to and use of the legendary Les Roches Blanches – a 1920s resort that has evolved over the years into a contemporary luxury hotel, still retaining its classical Cassis essence – Villa des Calanques lends its opulent spaces as a secluded retreat for you and your distinguished clan to revel in the amour of the Mediterranean. Depicting that dreamy life of languid hours spent beside the pool, sporadically sauntering down the stone stairway to the sea, dipping in and out, and resuming that spot beside the pool yet again. Constantly refreshed and satiated by the flowing French
wine and hors d’oeuvres. Being waited on hand and foot by the discreet concierge team that are an extension of the 5-star neighbouring hotel. Ensuring every element of your stay is finely tuned in accordance with your holiday wish lists. The boats will be moored in your private harbour downstairs, ready to whiz you out to sea. Where you’ll take in the beautiful landscape of The Calanques, Cap Canaille and all of the little coves along the shoreline. Perhaps a visit to the island of Porquerolles or a little further to Saint-Tropez. There’ll be plenty of swimming. Hiking the mountain
trails and walking the cliff paths. Each voyage taking in the beauty of the surrounding nature, the everchanging light and its effect on the colours of The Calanques, and the slow pace of the lifestyle that finds its way into the air, escorting you wherever you go, as if to pacify every breath.
When you are not out exploring the lovely fishing villages and the glorious surroundings, feasting from the seaside cafés and savouring the hotel’s facilities, the avant-garde villa pulls you in to its alluring spaces, and holds you in its luxurious grip. Set over four levels of refined living, dining, entertaining, reclining and resting areas, with ample outdoor space to relax and absorb the magnificent views, Villa des Calanques is the ideal French abode, to live out those hedonistic holidays on the Riviera. With a wellness area and fitness room included, a traditional hammam, two heated swimming pools and cosy cabanas for late afternoon snoozing, you’ll have all that you’ve envisioned of this getaway, et beaucoup plus! You’ll be inclined to sit still for large portions of the day, admiring the yachts sailing by, listening to the gentle tunes being interrupted only by the odd sea breeze, whistling through the trees. You’ll gather around the many tables, rewriting your own seductive scenes of life on the Mediterranean. Where the Cap Canaille and the endless expanse of blue are the natural backdrop to each episode.

A VILLA ON THE BLACK SEA COAST: A HOME THAT CURATES A FAMILY’S JOURNEYS
Nestled on the picturesque shores of Gelendzhik Bay—a site once inhabited by an ancient Greek colony—this newly completed villa is a spatial archive for a family of avid travelers.
Conceived by the international furniture brand Dantone Home in collaboration with designer Oksana Trunova, the project masterfully blends contemporary architecture with its dramatic coastal landscape, while the
interiors serve as a living gallery of global artifacts and memories.
The clients—a developer and hotelier, his wife, and their son— are avid travelers who fell in love with the city of Gelendzhik upon
their arrival. From each country they visited, they brought back not only cherished memories but also ideas for their future home. They aimed to fill it with memorabilia, a collection of books, and decorative elements. Their goal was to have a timeless interior that would remain relevant for years to come, allowing for the seamless incorporation of new discoveries without compromising its stylistic integrity.
The architecture, conceived in a contemporary Mediterranean style, features clean lines, flat roof terraces, and geometric volumes made of light plaster and natural stone. Panoramic windows fuse the interior with the landscape, framing the sea view as a dynamic, everchanging work of art. Sliding glass doors blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, seamlessly connecting the living areas to the terraces and pool.
INTERIOR:
Greek Style as the Unifying Thread
The designers honored the history of the space by using a modern interpretation of Greek style as their foundation. This approach effortlessly blended elements from various styles, cultures, and regions within a single space.
The interior color palette features light, natural tones such as cream, sand, and blue-gray. These colors are complemented by natural textures, including plaster, light oak parquet flooring, and porcelain tiles that mimic concrete and marble. Additionally, linen and cotton textiles add to the overall aesthetic. Against this neutral yet textured backdrop, the family’s collection of objects from around the world fits seamlessly into the harmonious space.
LAYOUT SOLUTIONS
The villa’s spaces are distributed across four levels with distinct functions.
The entry level contains the public areas: a living room, kitchen, and dining room.
One level below is dedicated to leisure, housing a home theater, gym, spa, and a wine cellar.
The two upper stories accommodate the private quarters: a master suite, a bedroom for the son, and guest rooms.
LIVING ROOM
The living room serves as the focal point of the enfilade layout; through a series of arched openings, the spaces flow seamlessly into one another, creating depth and layering.
The focal point of the living room is a spacious modular Narvik sofa, designed for comfortable family relaxation. One of its sections is positioned toward the fireplace, creating a cohesive and versatile space that allows for movie
watching, conversation, or simply enjoying the warmth of the fire.
The architectural motif of the arch is echoed in a softly curved niche that incorporates an open bookshelf, providing a practical and unique reading solution. A large painting, created by a family friend to complement the color scheme of the interior, serves as a focal point. Additionally, a full-height woodpile adds a rustic touch to the space. The living room has direct access to the terrace and pool.
KITCHEN
Located behind the woodshed is the kitchen, designed as a professional workspace for the chef-trained owner and as the social hub of the entire home. The kitchen cabinetry was custom-made by Dantone Kitchen, and the centerpiece of the space is a large island with a granite countertop, serving as a perfect stage for culinary activities.
The layout prioritizes functional storage with four full-size cabinets for appliances and utensils, while a dedicated coffee nook streamlines morning routines.
The visual structure features ribbed copper facades that match the ceiling’s tone, while a graphic black backsplash adds depth. Linear handles, arranged in a clear dotted pattern, provide rhythm to the facades.
DINING ROOM
The dining room centers around a solid elm dining table, accompanied by Contempo chairs designed by Swiss designer David Girelli.
Custom-made consoles became the architectural centerpiece, skillfully serving three functions: acting as a railing for the staircase leading to the wine cellar, cinema, spa, and gym; providing storage; and visually separating spaces.
A colonial-style Peru chest of drawers features a relief façade inspired by Inca terraces, aligning with the theme of travel – the central motif of the villa’s interiors.
SPA ZONE
The spa is a private sanctuary designed for relaxation, featuring a hammam, sauna, and massage room. The design plays with contrasting textures: smooth stone paired with soft lighting and
mosaics in the hammam, while warm wooden finishes add to the overall ambiance. A cohesive warm color scheme and intimate lighting create an ideal environment for complete rejuvenation.
STUDY
The master study is designed in a classic style, reminiscent of English club interiors. The focal point is a large, deep emerald bookshelf created by Dantone Home, which holds the family’s library collected from their travels. Retro vinyl equipment is also included, adding a unique backdrop for both work and relaxation. Additionally, colonial artifacts enhance the feel of a personal archive. The emerald hue is reflected in the color accents found in the pool area.
BEDROOMS
Each bedroom boasts a distinct character, reflecting various corners of the world—from American classics to colonial designs. One room includes a Cancun chest of drawers with a relief front that resembles sand dunes.
A spacious room designed for the clients’ son features panoramic windows that fill the space with natural light, providing an ideal setting for creative pursuits. The room is defined by striking black-
and-white accents, including a high headboard with a wavelike pattern, stylish sconces, and framed photographs on the walls. A floor lamp and rhythmic shelving further enhance the visual depth of the room. These graphic elements are softened by gray textiles and warm wood accents, which contribute to a balanced and restrained color palette.
OUTDOOR SPACES
The climate and location were the driving forces behind the project’s key concept, leading to the design of a multi-level system of terraces and outdoor recreation areas. On the first level, just behind the living
room, there is an outdoor living space and a lounge area next to the pool. Higher up, on the private terrace of the third floor, you’ll find an alfresco recreation area.
Outdoor furniture is chosen for its emphasis on natural forms and materials. The outdoor living room features the Tulum collection, with flowing silhouettes and a solid wood floor lamp.
Encircled by a wooden deck, the infinity pool’s vibrant turquoise waters evoke the allure of a Maldivian lagoon. The furniture surrounding the pool—comprising armchairs, a table, and sun loungers from the Taormina collection by French designer Laura Grésar—mirrors the colors of the water and the landscape, while complementing the light-colored façade of the house. This creates a harmonious blend of architecture and nature.
SMART HOME & ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS
A comprehensive smart home system centrally manages climate control, multi-level lighting, curtains, multimedia, and security, allowing for customized settings for
any occasion—from entertaining to vacation mode. Throughout the house, lighting (including subtle night lights) is set to a warm 2700K spectrum, creating a universally relaxing atmosphere.
Sustainable performance is ensured by a suite of integrated solutions: heated floors, heat recovery ventilation, and solar thermal collectors for water heating. Separate, dedicated systems handle pool water purification and heating, automated landscape irrigation, and air circulation.

WHERE HERITAGE MEETS CONTEMPORARY LUXURY
The Art of Parchment Extroverso carries forward the heritage of Tura, a historic family company founded in 1939 and internationally renowned for its mastery of parchment and Art Deco creations.
For centuries, parchment preserved the world’s most treasured words and images. Today, it lives again as a protagonist of refined interior design.
At Extroverso, this noble material is reinterpreted with elegance and vision. Obtained from fine goatskin and meticulously treated, parchment becomes a surface that is both functional and sensually vibrant. Each piece reveals a unique identity — defined by matt or gloss finishes, rich tonal variations, and the natural beauty of the skin. Surfaces are never the same. Every creation is an experience.
Specializing in the refined art of covering and finishing with natural parchment (goatskin) and galuchat (shagreen), Extroverso transforms rare leathers into extraordinary contemporary design elements.
From sophisticated residential interiors to yachts, hotels, offices, and luxury boutiques, we collaborate with architects and interior designers worldwide to develop exclusive, tailor-made projects. Every piece is handcrafted. Every detail is deliberate. Every creation reflects our enduring commitment to excellence and Italian craftsmanship.
As ancient as the artisan’s gesture and as precious as a masterpiece, parchment is more than a material — it is natural goatskin, tactile memory, and timeless beauty.
Galuchat — The Distinctive Touch
Shagreen leather, also known as galuchat, is a luxurious material celebrated for its strength and unmistakable texture. Recognizable by its naturally irregular “pearled” surface — which can also be polished smooth — it offers a refined tactile finish that elevates furniture and wall paneling alike.
Used on table tops, consoles, panels, and statement pieces, galuchat enhances the natural beauty of each object while adding depth, sophistication, and character.
Tailor-Made Vision
At Extroverso, every bespoke project begins with one essential element: the vision of the designer.
Through a collaborative process that unites creativity, research, technical mastery, and artisanal skill, Extroverso brings unique ideas to life. Whether designing for private residences, hospitality spaces, luxury retail environments, or yachts, our tailor-made approach allows each client to shape objects that express individuality and elevate their surroundings.
This is more than personalization — it is a shared creative journey.
2026 looks set to be a major year for interest in international real estate. According to Savills, global real estate investment will exceed the one-trilliondollar mark this year. That’s 15% more than in 2025, with the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region expected to see the strongest growth, at 22%.
Those living the situation “on the ground”, such as leading Spanish home builder Taylor Wimpey España, are already seeing significant appetite for higher end homes – specifically for penthouses in top sun-kissed locations.
Penthouse living, long associated with luxury and exclusivity, affords property buyers a range of benefits. Marc Pritchard, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey España, explains the particular appeal of the penthouse lifestyle:
“There’s a distinctive sense of serenitythatcomeswithtopfloorliving.Penthousesareoften positionedwithviewsinmind, meaningtheyprovideunrivalled vistasofgolfcourses,mountains, woodlandsorseascapes.Lifeaffirmingsunriseorsunsetviews
Spanish penthouses are designed to deliver a beautiful flow between indoors and out, all the while
providing a sense of space and exclusivity. Terraces have space to dine al fresco, to sunbathe and to relax in peace as you soak up the views. There’s a wellbeing element to it too, according to Pritchard:
The sense of openness promotes relaxation while also providing plenty of room to entertain and socialise. Guests can delight in lounging on large terraces long into the night, as well as enjoying interior spaces that have been thoughtfully designed to emphasise welcome and comfort.
Taylor Wimpey España’s penthouses dot the Costa del Sol and Costa Blanca coastline, with locations chosen based on their premium views and proximity to sought-after local amenities. The key-ready penthouse at Mare (Marbella) is just a four-minute stroll from the picturesque seafront promenade and three minutes from the ancient part of San Pedro de Alcantara. With four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a huge terrace that curves around the home,
there’s plenty of space for relaxing and entertaining with family and friends.
Mare offers incredible sea views, as do the off-plan penthouses currently available at Eden Beach in Alicante. Just 700m from the renowned La Mata beach, the penthouses come with a large terrace and a spacious rooftop solarium, providing diverse options for enjoying the Spanish sunshine.

Located in sunny Ocean Beach, San Francisco, Caffe Latte and Covet House’s new residential project, designed by Valery Zhavruk, is a veritable palette of emotions and colors based on an unmistakable contemporary modern style - ensuring that the summer vibe never ends.
A TIMELESS PROPERTY IN SAN FRANCISCO
The typically Californian zen aura can be felt right from the entrance hall, where beige and walnut tones are the true binders of comfort and well-being. The Plata Console, from the exclusive Patagonia Capsule Collection, and the Zelda Single Sofa, by Essential Home, are the main statement pieces in this foyer, elegantly accompanied by the Calla Table Lamp from Brabbu and the Coppola Rug, another Essential Home design.
Conceived in an open-space format, this magnificent property showcases nature-inspired shades and materials, such as wood and marble, which cover delicate areas like the kitchen island. There, we find the Freddo Bar Chair by Caffe Latte, in Japandi style, and Galliano, a retro pendant lamp from Delightfull.
The presence of wood is even more evident in the dining room, where the Ezra Dining Table by Essential
Home and the Panna Dining Chair from Caffe Latte create a contrast between mid-century and modern design. The same harmony can be seen in the secondary pieces, such as the vintage Coltrane Suspension Lamp by Delightfull and the contemporary Canephora set of mirrors from Caffe Latte, along with the comfortable Kalina Rug II by Brabbu.
The gentle breeze emerging from the balcony pacifies the eclectic living room, transforming it into a true seaside oasis. The Sugar Modular Sofa from Caffe Latte embodies pure well-being and combines perfectly with the bold terracotta tones of the Rukay Armchair and the robustness and natural appeal of the Tacca Center Table, both iconic pieces by Brabbu. In addition, minimalist concepts are
present in subtle pieces such as the Atomic Table Wood, produced by Masquespacio for Covet Collection, and the Macchiato Stool from Caffe Latte. As a final complement, the Patagon Suspension Lamp by Covet Collection acts as a satellite of style and personality, contrasting beautifully with the black-andwhite tones of the striking Mursi Rug from Brabbu.
For a relaxing retreat in the best company, nothing surpasses the elegant master bedroom, where the Charla Bed by Luxxu stands out as a symbol of comfort and sophistication. It is complemented by the retro inspiration of the Francis Scott Side Table from Essential Home and the functionality of the Niku Pendant Lamp by Brabbu. For improved organization and storage, Kafe by Caffe Latte serves as an elegant and contemporary dressing room, just like the Marble Small Table Lamp, a Masquespacio creation for Covet Collection. In front of the bed area, there is also a cozy reading corner - perfect for working or relaxing during spare time. The Gommosa Modular Sofa by Caffe Latte and the Dainty Armchair from Circu stand out with their neutral spirit and rounded curves, ensuring maximum well-being. As decorative complements, the Marble Table Small by Masquespacio brings harmony and freshness through its natural yet futuristic inspiration, while the Slater Mirror from the Patagonia Capsule Collection and the Herbie Floor Lamp by Delightfull deliver style and versatility, alongside the coastal
inspiration of the Agatha Rug from Rug’Society.
Between baby blue and navy tones, complemented by beige and toasted yellow, the teen’s bedroom is the joyful and warm soul of the house, establishing an ideal bridge between present and future design. While the Iraya Headboard by Brabbu demonstrates irreverence and modernity, the La Land Rug from Rug’Society conveys comfort and serenity with its colorful and fluffy texture. The famous duo of Coltrane lamps by Delightfull adds a minimalist and functional aesthetic while maintaining its iconic character. As in the master bedroom, young residents can also enjoy a unique living space, beginning with Ivete, a radiant lighting piece from Essential Home. Meanwhile, the Materia and Objects of Nature collections by Masquespacio and Ptang Studio introduce an avantgarde aesthetic, represented by the Volume and Body Chairs and the sumptuous Dovedale tables. A true treat for the eyes.
As for the office, it is strongly influenced by mid-century modern style, whether in the desk area - highlighted by the statement Nougat desk from Caffe Latte, the eloquent Charla Office Chair by Luxxu, or the exquisite Basie Table Lamp from Delightfull. In the small living area, a functional and stylish combination of pieces is achieved
through the elegant Kay Sofa by Essential Home and the wooden Biscotti Bookcase from Caffe Latte. Equally neutral and reinforcing the room’s vintage character, Philip by Essential Home unfolds into two refined center tables with clean lines, accompanied by the Allen Rug, inspired by art deco design from the same brand, and Coleman, a floor lamp bearing Delightfull’s signature style.
The golden tones of the master bathroom make it a majestic and distinctive space within the house. Much like a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, the Duorum Vessel Sink from Maison Valentina reflects the power of marble as a robust and elegant material, contrasting perfectly with the wooden cabinets and the richness of the Halo Mirror by Boca do Lobo. With a sublime and striking appearance, the bathing area features a lavish trio composed of the Symphony Oval Bathtub from Maison Valentina, the Babel II Suspension Lamp by Luxxu, and the Monochrome Brown Faux-Marble Side Table from Boca do Lobo.
With a powerful appeal to the human senses and nature’s essence, the new Caffe Latte and Covet House project, designed by Valery Zhavruk, is truly heaven on earth. It honors the past, lives in the present, and plans for the futuretranscending all limits.

SECOND HOMES. FIRST CHOICE.
RIEDEL IMMOBILIEN IS YOUR EXPERT PARTNER FOR SECOND HOMES – MAKING YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME TRULY FEEL LIKE HOME.
ORGANIC CONNECTION: THE CHALET “LES DEUX CERFS” IN COURCHEVEL
An architectural experience in the French Alps: Architect Flávia DucrosBourdens has completely redesigned the “Les Deux Cerfs” chalet in the middle of the Jardin Alpin forest, artfully combining architecture, interior design, and décor. The well-thought-out overall concept includes the Dornbracht classic Vaia, designed by Sieger Design.
For “Les Deux Cerfs” in the French luxury ski resort of Courchevel, architect Flávia Ducros-Bourdens has completely reinterpreted an old Alpine chalet.
MODERN ALPINE ARCHITECTURE
“Les Deux Cerfs” – meaning “The Two Deer” – is in Courchevel, France, on the edge of a ski slope. For her reinterpretation of the typical mountain chalet, architect Flávia Ducros-Bourdens completely rebuilt the original building. Only the outer walls were retained, and the roof was raised to create a more open spatial structure. The result, covering 800m², draws on traditional Alpine construction methods and complements them with contemporary accents, such as clearly structured privacy screens, high glass fronts, and a natural stone façade with star-like points of light. The rustic Alpine architecture is thus transformed into modernity without losing any of its charm and character.
A SOPHISTICATED TOTAL WORK OF ART
Inside, the entrance area offers an initial highlight: a ceiling composed of geometric mirror fragments that reflect the surrounding mountain panorama. The adjoining living and dining area is no less impressive.
The imposing room, up to six metres high, unfolds beneath a translucent wooden ceiling structure. The interior, with its cream-coloured upholstered furniture and carpets, is full of details – including huge, cloud-like pendant lights and a fireplace clad in an expressive ceramic mosaic. The multitude of coordinated reliefs and patterns and the nuanced interplay of materials give the entire design an artistic character. Architecture, interior, and décor merge to form a sophisticated total work of art.
HARMONIOUSLY INTEGRATED FITTINGS
The other rooms also give the impression of being organically interwoven – from the bedrooms to the pool and sauna area to the bathrooms. The muted colour palette stylishly matches the surrounding mountain scenery and evokes associations with snowcovered forests and barren rock. In the bathrooms, the natural stone is particularly striking: its distinctive grain is subtly complemented by Vaia from Dornbracht on the washbasin and in the shower, with the Brushed Dark Platinum finish harmonising discreetly with the dark glass basins. As a freestanding version, the fitting also forms an elegant ensemble with the black bathtub. The children’s bathroom proves that Vaia also goes well with playful style elements: here, the design classic in Brushed Dark Platinum can be seen with white washbasins – skilfully complimenting the wallpaper with dog drawings.
The expressive ceiling design creates continuity in “Les Deux Cerfs”: in this bedroom, laser-cut wooden panels with fine geometric patterns make a striking impression.
The generous use of rustic woods preserves the character of typical mountain chalets. Light-coloured fabrics and upholstery lend the bedrooms a sense of lightness.
The open plan living and dining area, with ceilings up to six metres high, unfolds beneath a translucent wooden ceiling structure.
The hallway opens onto a cosy reading corner.

AN INVITATION TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS
For the Scandinavian design brand BOLIA, outdoor spaces are a natural extension of the art of indoor living.
Shaped by the wind, warmed by the sun, and refined over time, they become places for presence and shared, meaningful moments. As warmer days approach, the ORLANDO O2 OUTDOOR, ARKE OUTDOOR, and PATIO OUTDOOR series embody this philosophy through furniture designed to last, adapt, and – above all – invite relaxation.
ORLANDO O2 OUTDOOR
As welcoming as an indoor sofa, Orlando O2 Outdoor combines understated luxury with absolute comfort and a warm, inviting expression. Its modules allow for easy adaptation – whether on a terrace, a balcony, or in a garden – supporting both quiet moments of relaxation and gatherings with friends and family.
The sections can be freely arranged, while the ottoman, featuring an optional tray, doubles as a footrest or an additional surface. Made in Europe from high-quality, durable materials, Orlando O2 Outdoor is designed to withstand changing weather and seasons. Its changeable cover allows for easy style updates, and its quick-drying cushions feature a water-draining system for lasting comfort.
ARKE OUTDOOR
With Arke Outdoor, BOLIA brings the comfort of a true living room into the heart of the garden. Its modular design, soft shapes, and generous seating create a relaxed expression that blends naturally into any outdoor space.
The modules can be combined endlessly, making it easy to create a setting tailored to individual needs, while the changeable outdoor cover simplifies maintenance
and extends its life – lasting generations. The delicate piping that highlights its curves reflects precise craftsmanship, with each seam showcasing BOLIA’s commitment to artisanal quality and long-lasting design.
PATIO OUTDOOR
Inspired by the calming rhythm of nature, the Patio series is designed to elegantly accompany the outdoor living through all seasons. Combining lounge and dining furniture, it creates a versatile setting for reading, shared meals, or quiet moments of reflection.
Customisable cushions in a wide selection of outdoor fabrics enhance comfort and invite extended relaxation. Crafted from solid, untreated FSC®-certified teak, the furniture develops a refined silvergrey patina over time, while regular oiling preserves its warm, goldenbrown tone.
Creations designed to last
Backed by a 10-year warranty, BOLIA’s outdoor sofas are made in Europe from carefully selected, durable materials. Their customisable elements allow the creation of unique, adaptable spaces that evolve with changing needs.
Removable, washable and changeable covers make maintenance effortless and extend the design’s lifetime, while offering the freedom to refresh the expression over time. Once again, BOLIA demonstrates a commitment to long-lasting design – created to support everyday living and evolving desires, season after season.

STRANG’S VAN DER VLUGT RESIDENCE SETS NEW STANDARD FOR COASTAL RESILIENCE IN FLORIDA
The Van der Vlugt Residence, a highly acclaimed project by renowned Miami-based firm STRANG, has set a global benchmark for resilient modern architecture.
Its status is cemented by significant, high-profile recognition, notably the AIA Florida Award of Excellence for New Work, AIA Miami Award of Excellence in Residential Architecture, and its selection as a World Architecture Festival Finalist.
This prestige is further amplified by its selection as the subject of the pilot episode for Sarasota School: A Living Legacy, a new documentary series by Architecture Sarasota that will further convey the home’s status as a critical piece of 21stcentury design.
The Van der Vlugt Residence is a sophisticated outpost along the Upper Florida Keys coastline that offers an unhurried, contextuallyadaptive counterpoint to the complexities of the modern world. The project embodies the core
principles of the historic Sarasota School of Architecture—specifically environmental adaptation and material experimentation— reimagined for today’s climate challenges.
“Weareimmenselyproudthat theVanderVlugtResidence hasearnedsuchsignificant recognition,” notes Max Strang, Founder and Managing Partner of STRANG. “Beinghonoredwith multipleAIAawards, andnamed a World Architecture Festival Finalist, underscoresthenecessity ofdesigningbeautiful, yet resilient, structuresthataredeeply connectedtoFlorida’sunique coastal environment.”
THE DESIGN
Elevated ten feet off the ground to proactively address sea level rise and potential storm surge, the home presents as a floating volume veiled by sun-catching and shadow-casting louvers. Design highlights include:
• Resilient foundation: Elevated on robust concrete columns, the first level includes a 50-foot cantilever and partially engages a pre-existing berm, demonstrating both freedom and engagement with the low-lying landscape.
• Architectural artistry: The entry features a spiral staircase enveloped in cool gray microcement, acting as the “joint” where the home’s curvature meets its axis, mimicking the site’s waterfront boundary.
• Climate control: Passive cooling strategies are employed through floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light and strategically placed louvers for shading.
• Material continuity: The rugged exterior of board-formed concrete flows into the interior spaces, creating striking visual contrasts, such as in the library against a curved white bookshelf. The owner’s suite even features metallic imprints of the boardformed concrete on a feature wall.
A LIVING LEGACY:
Documenting architectural evolution
“Aswemarkacenturyofdesign innovation in Sarasota, we celebrate thatlegacynotasaremnantofthe past, butasacontinuallyunfolding story,” says Morris (Marty) Hylton III, President of Architecture Sarasota, explaining the contemporary focus. “The Sarasota School of Architecture is alive and well with anewgenerationofmodernist designersengagingandevolving foundationalconceptssuchas environmentaladaptationand experimentationwithmaterialsand structure, amongothers.”
The pilot episode, produced and directed by Ryan Lester, profiles the Van der Vlugt Residence as a case study for how modernist principles are being successfully adapted to meet the challenges of the early 21st century.

This villa is built to the highest standards of energy efficiency (A+/A) and equipped with state-of-the-art technical solutions.
THE PENTHOUSE
– Mediterranean Elegance with a Horizon View
At the top of the building lies a 150 m² penthouse with a spacious 45 m² terrace that becomes an extension of the living area. Here, mornings are bathed in sunlight, and evenings are reserved for relaxation in the jacuzzi, overlooking the sea and sunset.
The interior radiates tranquility and harmony – contemporary furniture, natural materials, and subtle lighting create an atmosphere of understated luxury, seamlessly woven into the essence of the space. This penthouse is not merely a home – it is a seaside living experience, where architecture and nature intertwine in perfect balance.
TERRACE AND VIEW
The spacious terrace is the heart of this home — an outdoor living room with a view of the endless horizon.
A private jacuzzi invites relaxation to the sound of the sea, while a comfortable hanging chair sways gently in the breeze. Here, mornings begin with the shimmer of sunlight on the sea’s surface, and evenings end with spectacular sunsets that paint the sky in gold and indigo tones.

The apartment is equipped with an intelligent home system that allows complete control of all functions via a central touch interface or mobile device. Heating, cooling, lighting, blinds, multimedia, and security systems — all can be adjusted with a single touch.
With underfloor heating (heat pump), air conditioning in all rooms, reinforced security doors, alarm, and video surveillance, the penthouse offers a perfect balance of comfort, safety, and sophisticated luxury.
WINTER LIGHT, VENETIAN SOUL
Murano Glass Lighting for cozy winter interiors.
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, our homes become the heart of our comfort and creativity. November marks the beginning of a season where warmth, atmosphere and refined details take center stage — and nothing embodies these qualities better than Murano glass lighting.
PIUMATI presents its collection of Murano glass chandeliers, wall sconces, floor lamps and table lamps, each one handcrafted by master glassmakers on the island of Murano. Every piece combines the elegance of centuries-old Venetian tradition with a modern sensibility, transforming light into a living material — soft, sculptural, and deeply expressive.
In each creation, the artistry of blown glass reveals its most intimate essence: reflections that change with every angle, textures that capture the glow of a winter sunset, and colors that bring warmth to contemporary interiors.
From smoky neutrals to amber tones and crystal-clear transparencies, PIUMATI’s lighting celebrates the dialogue between craftsmanship and design innovation.
“Duringthecoldermonths, light becomes emotional,” says the PIUMATI design team. “Ourgoalis tocreatelightingthatdoesn’tjust illuminateaspace, butshapesits atmosphere—abalanceofsoftness, brilliance and character.”
Entirely customizable in size, color and finish, PIUMATI’s Murano glass lighting is designed to adapt to any interior — from minimal
and modern homes to classic or eclectic environments. Each lamp is a one-of-a-kind piece, handblown using traditional techniques passed down through generations of Venetian artisans.
With PIUMATI, lighting is not merely functional: it’s an experience of beauty and authenticity.

HOW TO EAT CAVIAR WITH CHRIS MEHMET, MD OF CAVIAR HOUSE & PRUNIER, LONDON
After 26 years at Caviar House & Prunier, I’ve watched countless people approach caviar with a mixture of reverence and terror. They treat it like a museum piece rather than something meant to be enjoyed. This is unfortunate, because whilst caviar deserves respect, it shouldn’t inspire fear.
The truth is, eating caviar properly requires less etiquette knowledge than most people imagine. What it demands instead is attention, which is rather the point of luxury food in the first place.
The Caviar Kiss
The most traditional method is also the most intimate. Place a small amount of caviar on the back of your hand, in that soft space between thumb and forefinger. Let it warm there for a moment against your skin before bringing it to your lips. This is called the ‘caviar kiss’,
and it’s been the preferred method of connoisseurs for generations.
Why does this work? Your skin warms the caviar just slightly, releasing aromatic compounds that might otherwise remain dormant. You taste it at optimal temperature, which is marginally warmer than refrigerator cold. And the ritual itself forces you to slow down, to pay attention, to be present for those few seconds of pure flavour.
I’ve seen this method convert sceptics more reliably than any elaborate presentation. Something about the simplicity appeals to people. No ceremony, no performance, just you and exceptional food.
The Mother-of-Pearl Rule
If you’re serving caviar on blinis or toast points, use mother-of-pearl spoons. This isn’t snobbery; it’s chemistry. Metal reacts with caviar, imparting a metallic taste that ruins
the delicate flavour profile. Motherof-pearl, horn, or even wooden implements avoid this interference entirely.
You can test this yourself. Taste caviar from a metal spoon, then from mother-of-pearl. The difference is immediate and unpleasant. This is one of the few rules in caviar service worth following religiously.
Temperature Matters
Caviar should be served cold, straight from the coldest part of your refrigerator. Not frozen, which destroys the texture, but genuinely cold. Nest the tin in ice if you’re serving at table. The pearls should feel cool on your tongue, firm but yielding.
Room temperature caviar becomes unpleasantly soft and develops fishy notes that aren’t present when properly chilled. This is why restaurants sometimes disappoint; the caviar sits too long before reaching your table. At home, you control this completely.
Accompaniments: Less is More
The classic accompaniments exist for a reason: warm blinis, crème fraiche, perhaps finely chopped egg or shallot. These complement caviar without overwhelming it. But honestly, I prefer caviar on its own. Why add distractions when the main event is this good?
If you do use blinis, keep them warm and fresh. Cold, stale blinis are worse than no blinis at all. A small amount of crème fraiche provides richness and textural contrast. Chopped egg adds protein and visual appeal. But all of these are optional. Caviar needs nothing beyond proper serving temperature and appropriate implements.
Toast points work beautifully if you prefer crunch. Lightly butter them, keep the butter quantity modest. You’re creating a vehicle, not a competing flavour.
What to Drink
Champagne or vodka, nothing else comes close. Champagne’s acidity cuts through caviar’s richness whilst the effervescence cleanses your palate between spoonfuls. Choose Blanc de Blancs if possible; the citrus notes complement beautifully.
Vodka takes the traditional Russian approach. Serve it ice-cold in small glasses. The clean, neutral spirit allows the caviar to shine whilst the alcohol cuts through the richness. Premium vodka is essential here; anything harsh or poorly distilled will ruin rather than enhance.
Dry white wines work if spirits aren’t your preference. Chablis, Sancerre,
or a crisp Muscadet provide minerality without overwhelming the caviar.
The Pace
This is perhaps the most important aspect, and the one people most often get wrong. Do not rush caviar. Take your time between spoonfuls. Let the flavour register fully, evolve on your palate, finish completely before taking more.
Caviar should last longer than most people think. If you’re racing through it, you’re missing the point entirely. This isn’t fuel; it’s experience. The pleasure comes from attention, from noticing how the flavour develops, from being fully present to what you’re tasting.
I’ve watched people demolish 50g of excellent caviar in under three minutes, then wonder why they didn’t enjoy it more. Slow down. Put your phone away. Talk less. Taste more.
Common Mistakes
Don’t serve caviar with strongly flavoured foods immediately before or after. Your palate needs to be clean and receptive. Don’t pile it high on blinis like you’re building a sandwich. A small amount is correct; caviar is concentrated flavour that doesn’t require volume.
Don’t save caviar for some mythical perfect occasion that never arrives. Life is uncertain. Eat the good caviar now, while you can enjoy it. Tomorrow is promised to nobody, and caviar doesn’t improve with age in your fridge.
Don’t overthink it. Yes, there are guidelines worth following. But caviar isn’t a test you can fail. If you serve it cold, use proper implements, and pay attention whilst you’re eating it, you’re already doing better than most.
The Real Secret
After nearly three decades in this
business, I’ve learned that the real secret to eating caviar properly has nothing to do with technique. It’s about mindset. Approach it with curiosity rather than reverence. Be present rather than performative. Share it generously rather than hoarding it.
Caviar rewards attention, but it doesn’t demand perfection. Serve it simply, eat it slowly, enjoy it thoroughly. Everything else is just details.
Caviar Reimagined
At our Piccadilly restaurant, we’ve been exploring how caviar can work in less expected contexts. Our new Caviar Baked Potato pays homage to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, who famously enjoyed caviar on jacket potatoes at intimate White House gatherings. A twice-baked potato topped with 30g Prunier caviar demonstrates that luxury needn’t announce itself through elaborate presentation. Sometimes the most sophisticated choice is the simplest one.
Then there’s Caviar & Crisps, which might be London’s poshest bar snack. Available at our champagne bar, it’s exactly what it sounds like: hand-cooked crisps with 30g Prunier caviar. This pairing works brilliantly; the crisps provide crunch and salt everyone understands, whilst the caviar adds complexity. You’re at the bar, champagne in hand, eating caviar on crisps. It’s luxury at its most accessible and its most fun.
FEADSHIP PRESENTS FEADSHIP BY ASSOULINE
Feadship announces the publication of Feadship , a landmark volume created in collaboration with Assouline and released as part of the publisher’s Ultimate Collection series. The book is available to order via the Feadship Ocean Collection website and the official Assouline website.
Rooted in a shipbuilding heritage that dates back to 1849, Feadship has been designing, engineering and building entirely custom superyachts under the Feadship name since 1949. Defined by discretion and a one off approach to creation, Feadship has traditionally remained out of the public eye. Drawing on material from Feadship’s private archives, carefully curated and assembled by the brand itself, this publication offers a considered insight into Feadship’s philosophy, heritage and working culture.
“Thispublicationisnotabout celebratingindividualyachts, butaboutdocumentingaway ofworkingthathasbeenshaped overgenerations.Byopeningour archives, wewantedtoprovide anhonestandcarefullycurated view of what it takes to create a Feadship, fromthefirstpencil linetodelivery.” Jan-Bart Verkuyl, Feadship Director | CEO Royal Van Lent Shipyard
Through previously unseen imagery and original archival material, Feadship book explores the principles that underpin the brand’s approach to custom creation. The book documents the depth of craftsmanship, technical ingenuity and collaborative process required to deliver yachts that take years to realise and are built without precedent.
The phrase There are yachts, and there are Feadships has long expressed the distinction the brand occupies within the industry. The volume reflects this position, presenting a world where scale, complexity and creativity converge, from advanced naval architecture to highly individual onboard environments shaped entirely around their owners.
Published in Assouline’s Ultimate Collection, the handcrafted leatherbound volume is presented in a matching leather clamshell case featuring a metal Feadship
logo plate. Assouline books are a familiar presence on board many superyachts, making a dedicated Feadship title a natural addition to the series and a fitting publication for any Feadship library.
The book is authored by John Weich, writer, editor and creative director, who has contributed extensively to Feadship’s storytelling across multiple platforms. In addition to writing for PILOT and other Feadship publications, he was also the narrator of Feadship Uncovered, a podcast series exploring the stories, people and thinking behind Feadship.
Feadship by Assouline is available now and can be ordered via Feadship Ocean Collection and Assouline.
