A word of caution for both bicycle riders and car drivers.
We don’t want to have accidents, and I located a small script about this in our bylaws:
17. i. Bicycles may only be driven on the roadways and not on sidewalks, grass, vacant homesites or any other paved area. Bicycles must obey the same traffic regulations as cars.
j. If driven at night or at dusk, bicycles must be equipped with a light on the front and a reflector in the rear.

After the holiday season has passed, many shelves in food banks are left bare. The Bread Basket, which is located in the Patio Plaza, 2385 San Jacinto Ave. and run by the Church of ACTS, is no exception. This facility is open to all individuals/families living in the San Jacinto Valley who are struggling financially.
At the Bread Basket, they can purchase goods at a reduced rate because almost everything is donated. The money collected each week from the sale of food items is used to purchase milk and eggs for the following week. Last year they served over 45,000 people in the valley.
That being said, there never seems to be enough of certain items to go around. So a strategic plan, targeting specific needs, has been developed. To help fill the gap, they are asking individuals who have a heart and or passion for those who struggle to donate one or more the following items:
Jar of peanut butter
A box of dry cereal
Travel size toothpaste and/or toothbrush (toothbrushes must be individually wrapped)
Box of mac & cheese
Pasta noodles and/or sauce
Soup
Stew
Tuna
Canned vegetables
For your convenience, you may simply drop off items at my home Sp. 252 and I will make sure they find their way to the Bread Basket. By working together, we can help many who struggle in our community to even put food on the table. Thank you to those who have stepped up already and made donations. Your gifts are truly appreciated.
