Opportunity for New Family Child Care Educators We are excited to introduce to you a new opportunity in Western Maryland, Growing Opportunities for Family Child Care, also known as GOFCC! What is GOFCC and how can it benefit you and the community in which you live?
Growing Opportunities for Family Child Care (GOFCC) is a unique program that started in Montgomery County, that provides intense and targeted training, coaching, and resources to support individuals interested in opening a family child care business. GOFCC guides potential educators through the licensing process while supporting them in building a strong business foundation and Information Sessions via Zoom: high quality child care program. Participation is free and includes all of the reMonday November 21st at 6pm quired training, access to knowledgeable coaches, and a variety of resources, Monday December 19th at 6pm which will support you in opening and Visit for zoom links: LOCATE Complaint operating your new child care business. https://fcmha.org/how-we-help/ Policy Over the past 5 years, the number of child-care-choices/gofcc registered Family Child Care educators MCCRN in our 5 County Region has decreased Complaint Policy significantly. The struggles to maintain a viable Family Child Care business throughout the COVID pandemic and the stress on families, children and eduNew Staff cators has taken its toll. Through the GOFCC program, we are determined to re-grow the industry that is so vital to the economic growth and stability of our and more… families and ultimately our communities.
