From the Headteacher Welcome to this summer edition of MGS News. As I look back over the past months, I am struck once again by how swiftly the year has passed and how naturally we find ourselves reflecting on all that we have experienced and achieved together. Each academic year brings its own challenges and triumphs, but what remains constant - and what has been especially evident this year - is the deep sense of belonging that binds us as a community. So, as we reach the close of another academic year, I want to extend
my heartfelt thanks to every member of the MGS community: students, staff, families, governors, and friends of the school, for the commitment, resilience, and kindness that have shaped these past months. This has been a year defined not only by achievement, but by the strength of our shared spirit, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together. The summer term has been filled with moments that remind us what it means to be part of
MGS. We began by celebrating the 120th anniversary of the CCF - honouring a tradition that has shaped generations of Maidstonians and continues to instil leadership, service, and pride in our cadets today. We also welcomed the return of the Senior Sports Dinner - a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication and accomplishments of our senior athletes.
