In-house production The entire collection is fully created in our own European production facilities. This allows us to 100% guarantee professional competence, social responsibility and ecological practices. The utmost care, skilled craftsmanship and precise approach of our employees, ensures that our ethos of outstanding trousers is fully implemented. We also maintain modern, environmentally friendly and socially responsible production conditions. For example, by using an advanced water treatment plant, we ensure resource-efficient handling of this precious commodity.
Ever since the company was founded in 1960, we’ve taken care to primarily use natural raw materials for our production - the most important of which is cotton. In 2020, we switched to cotton produced by 100% controlled organic cultivation. As absolutely no chemical pesticides, artificial fertilisers and genetic engineering are used, soil and water, as well as flora and fauna, are not polluted and biodiversity is supported. Healthier farmland stores moisture far more effectively, which significantly reduces water consumption. Organic cotton has long staple fibres. This makes the resulting fabric more durable and hard wearing. In addition, regional value creation also enhances the development of local economic communities.
Offsetting - but how? By using pure organic cotton, we ‘re able to achieve excellent results in terms of reducing water and energy consumption, as well as CO2 emissions and the use of chemicals. We acquire high quality climate protection certificates to offset the unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions. This allows us to support a UN hydropower project: the Bujagali hydropower plant on the Victoria Nile in the Republic of Uganda. The power plant generates 90% of the Ugandan power network’s renewable energy, which makes the country one of the world’s cleanest electricity producers. chhaltigkeit
We always practice what we preach. And the result is outstanding! As transparency is extremely important to us, we’re subject to regular external audits. We’re GOTS, OEKO-TEX® Made in Green, Fairtrade and Fokus Zukunft for 100% climate neutrality certified. These certifications confirm our policies of environmentally friendly production, testing for harmful substances and social responsibility by means of fair wages, regulated working hours and safety in the workplace. This means that every single step, from cotton plant to the finished MEYER trouser, is based on ethical principles. What’s still just a vision for many - is already everyday reality for us.

It all starts with a scrutinous selection of the most sumptuous fabrics – luxurious silks, purest organic cottons refined with kapok and animal friendly virgin wools Inspired by custom tailoring - with a semi sartorial finish. The pocket pouches, waistband lining and belt loops are all stitched by hand. Colour coordinated buttons made of ivory nut and sophisticated details such as the cleverly designed lining and integrated shirt stopper combine to create trousers that are simply sublime!
