MUSIC SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Methody has a long-standing tradition of musical excellence, with a vibrant and inclusive Music Department that plays a central role in College life. Pupils of all ages and abilities are encouraged to develop their talents, confidence and creativity through a wide range of musical opportunities, supported by expert teaching staff and specialist tutors..
Music is embedded throughout the school, both in the classroom and beyond. Pupils regularly take part in a variety of ensembles, including orchestras, choirs, jazz and swing bands, traditional groups and smaller chamber or rock/pop ensembles. Rehearsals take place before, during and after school, ensuring that every pupil has the chance to participate and perform. We are also proud to offer a regular Friday lunchtime recital series, giving pupils the opportunity to share their music with the wider school community.
Our choral tradition is particularly strong. Choirs such as the Girls’ Choir, Junior Singers and Chapel Choir perform at a very high level and have appeared on radio and television, as well as at major events. The Chapel Choir has won multiple national competitions and has toured internationally, including performances at venues such as Westminster Abbey and Carnegie Hall. Each year, the choir also broadcasts at Christmas on BBC Radio 4. Many pupils go on to study music at leading conservatoires.
We host a busy programme of concerts and events throughout the year, including our Autumn Concert
in St Anne’s Cathedral and our Spring Concert in the Waterfront Hall. These performances provide valuable experience for pupils and showcase the exceptional standard of music-making at the College, both to live audiences and through online platforms.
We are committed to ensuring that all pupils have access to the very best musical opportunities during their time at Methody. To support this, we welcome sponsorship and donations from individuals and businesses. Contributions help fund areas such as instrument purchase and maintenance, touring opportunities, music technology, bursaries, workshops, outreach projects and the development of new resources, including plans for a new College organ.
We would love you to be involved through our sponsorship opportunities or by making a one-off or regular contribution through the Friends of Methody Music programme.
All support received is used directly to enhance the musical experience of our pupils and to sustain the high standards for which Methody Music is known. If you feel this is something that could benefit your organisation, or if you would like to support music at Methody, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via email.
