SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Within the College the Careers

Service organises a number of large scale events to develop our pupils’ understanding and knowledge of careers, pathways and the labour market helping to inform them about study options or next steps. We actively seek to challenge misconceptions and stereotypical thinking.

These events include our biannual Careers FairPathways, the Interschool Law and Engineering Conferences and the Lower Sixth Interview Skills Day.

Pathways will be held in September of this year. This event allows universities and employers the opportunity to talk to pupils about the many different routes and careers that exist, inspiring them to take the next step.

The Interschool Law and Engineering Conference are designed to let students to hear in more depth about these professions from people at different stages with those Careers. At this year’s conferences the main speakers were Mr D. Lunney KC, Chairman of the Bar Council and Mr D Porter, President of the Institution of Civil Engineers. Students also have the opportunity to take part in workshops hosted either universities or local Engineering companies as well as a subject specific Careers Fair.

The Lower Sixth Interview Skills Day is designed to allow our pupils to experience having an interview without too much pressure. The pupils will have

completed an application form and will take part in an assessment center task. Each pupil will then have an interview. We are much indebted to our many interviewers who give up their time to help us. This year we had nearly 60 interviewers taking part.

All of these events are designed to provide our pupils with a sense of direction which enhances their career readiness, motivation and skills.

We are reaching out to you to see if your business would be interested in sponsoring any of these events. Depending on your business’ interests, you will have marketing exposure through various channels, including event materials, our website, and social media platforms.

If these opportunity aligns with your business goals or if you would like to contribute to the success of our pupils, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to the possibility of partnering with you to make this event a resounding success.
