ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NOTICE TO BIDDERS TOWN OF ISLIP - SUFFOLK COUNTY, NEW YORK

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that SEALED BIDS will be received by the DEPARTMENT OF PURCHASING, TOWN HALL WEST, 401 MAIN STREET, ISLIP, NEW YORK, 11751 ROOM 227, or may be dropped off in the container located in the front vestibule of the main entrance of 401 Main Street, Islip, New York, 11751 until 11:00 a.m., prevailing time on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, following which time they will be publicly opened and read in room 227 located on the second floor of 401 Main Street, Islip, New York, 11751 and the contract awarded as soon thereafter as practicable for 2025-2027 TOWN WIDE STREET TREES, CONTRACT No. DPD 1-25. DESCRIPTION: This contract requires that the contractor furnish and install various species of deciduous, evergreen and ornament trees throughout the Town of Islip. The focus of the contract will be on the placement of deciduous street trees for the improvement to the aesthetics of the Town’s roadway. The contract may also be used to make improvements to Town Facilities as needed.
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or acceptable bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid and made payable to the Town of Islip. No bid will be accepted by email or facsimile. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of bids not properly labeled or sealed. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, to waive any formality and/or informality in any or all bids and to accept the bid or part thereof which it deems most favorable to the Town after all bids have been examined and checked. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or at least two are not received the Department of Purchase is authorized to re-advertise for bids. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirement as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid for under the contract.
