Mastic-Shirley Station Shines After $7.5M Makeover By Raheem Soto

Last week, elected officials, MTA representatives, community leaders, and residents gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the station’s $7.49 million overhaul. Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella (R-Moriches) called it “more than just a station — it’s a symbol of progress, safety, and community pride.” Continued on page 10 A passenger awaits a train at the new Mastic-Shirley LIRR station (Credit - Office of Legislator Jim Mazzarella)
