Assistant Superintendent For Finance and Management Services By Matt Meduri The South Country Central School District (CSD) announced last week that the Board of Education has appointed Robert Doyle as their new Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Management Services. It comes just months after the May budget vote, which sought a 13.45% tax levy hike, by far the largest proposed hike of any of Suffolk County’s 75 public school districts. The vote was overwhelmingly rejected by 71% of the voters – 2,747 votes against, 1,105 in favor. Since the $150 million budget would have pierced the district’s tax cap, it required 60% of the votes to pass. Continued on page 10
