Tierney Brings 109-Count Indictment in Drug Trafficking Ring By Matt Meduri In a bombshell report, Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney (R) has announced a massive indictment against twenty-one defendants charged with narcotics trafficking with members of a violent criminal organization involved. On Friday, Tierney outlined the results of a long-term investigation in the large-scale narcotics trafficking within Suffolk County, which includes over 2.5 kilograms of heroin and fentanyl. Larell Campbell, 32, of Copiague, and Carolyn Tolin, 46, of Centereach, were charged with Operating as Major Traffickers. Tolin allegedly operated a narcotics business, not just within the county, but across the nation through the Dark Web right from her Centereach home. She allegedly shipped narcotics, including the deadly synthetic opioid fentanyl, through the United States Postal Service (USPS) and UPS to customers around the country. She allegedly received payments in cryptocurrency.

Middle Country Sewer Study Completed By Matt Meduri While talks of water quality and downtown and community revitalizations often dominate the airwaves in Suffolk, and rightfully so, the process in obtaining sewers for a particular area can be a lengthy one. Two years ago, Middle Country residents and officials came together to discuss the feasibility of sewering Middle Country Road (State Route 25) for the business districts of Centereach and Selden. On Monday evening at the Selden Library, a completed Sewer Feasibility Study was presented to the public, with officials on hand to discuss the breadth, necessities, and timeline of the project. Phase One of the plan includes Centereach and Selden. Phases Two and Three will cover Farmingville and Coram. Continued on page 12
