• If you decide to sign your child up for multiple lesson sessions, they must be the same level, even if they passed unless we deem necessary to move them. This is critical for teacher/participant ratio and planning. Students may pass the base level skills but may not be ready for the next level due to deeper water or longer distances required to swim.
• Yellow 1 & 2, Parent and Child, and private lessons are 30-minute lessons. Blue 1 & 2, Green 1 & 2, and Orange 1 & 2 are 45-minute lessons.
• Call the office if you need help determining what level your child should be in. We have last year’s records.
• Classes need a minimum of 5 participants to be held. If a class needs to be cancelled, we will do our best to find a session & time that works for you, if we cannot you will receive credit on your ActiveNet account.
• All lessons are Mondays & Wednesdays for 4 weeks. If a class is cancelled because of weather, it will be made up on that same Friday.
• We do our best to have lessons each day and will only cancel because of storms that produce thunder or lightning. We will still have lessons on cool days, but those will be based out of water with safety lessons, facility tours, and even practicing skills on the pool deck.
Parent/Child 1: 6 months-18 months, parent MUST be in the water at all times.
Parent/Child 2: 18 months-3 years, parent MUST be in the water at all times.
Yellow 1: 3-4 year olds, never taken Swim Lessons before, potty trained & can follow simple directions (sit, listen, stay on the wall).
Yellow 2: 4-5 year olds (4 yrs olds that have taken 1 level of swim lessons before, (Parent/Child class does not count) potty trained, & can follow simple directions (sit, listen, stay on the wall).
Child MUST be able to do all of the following skills in order to move to the next level. If they cannot complete all of the checklist skills for that level, put them in that level. Every skill is unassisted, unless it states assisted.
