Once a year the outdoor world gets together in Friedrichshafen. The OurDoor is the community’s fixed meeting point. Friends, colleagues and business partners from all over the world gather together here in this unique atmosphere. And, in the process, some high level business gets done. During the world’s leading trade show, over 900 exhibitors present themselves. All the decision makers from industry, trade and service providers along with all the important media get their information about the latest innovations, trends and news. Over an area of 85,000 m², one of the most successful branches in the world shows what’s new for “outdoor” adventures large and small. We would like to welcome you and wish you every success at the OutDoor!

Business WITH OUTDOOR SPORTS AND URBAN OUTDOOR STYLE If you do business with the outdoors, you have to be at the OutDoor. That’s because you can take in all the innovations and all the trends in one glance. It doesn’t matter if you sell clothing, shoes or equipment. OutDoor Conferences in partnership with the European Outdoor Group The perfect start to a day at the trade show: a stimulating lecture and breakfast sponsored by the OutDoor. With the experts who hold the lectures and discussionprovoking roundtables to look at current topics, and report on the latest trends. OutDoor Movie Nights Conference Center, Foyer East, 1st floor, room “Berlin” Thu July 12, 6.30 p.m. Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour (in English) The Vaude PrimaLoft Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is one of the world’s most renowned adventure and nature film festivals. At the OutDoor Movie Night, a selection of seven films from the World Tour 2012 will be shown. The subjects covered range from ice climbing on the formidable glaciers in Alaska to desert tours in the Sahara and this makes it just the thing for all adventure and outdoor fans! Fri July 13, 6.30 p.m. Walking the Amazon: 860 Days. The Impossible Task. The Incredible Journey (in English) Ed Stafford became the first man to walk the length of the Amazon river in South America from the source to the sea. He walked for: 860 days. He started on 2 April 2008 and finished in August 2010. No-one had ever done what he attempted.

gore Trail Running Parcours The legendary competition to find “Europe‘s Fastest Trail Runner” was a huge success in recent years, and is set to delight everyone anew in 2012. Heaven & Hell Fri July 13, 6.30 p.m., Hall A2, Trade Show Stage Documentary about the GORE-TEX® TRANSALPINE RUN The 60-minute film shows the fascination of the 8-day mountain run which takes the participants through 3 countries and over a height difference of 15,000 metres. The moviemakers went along with two teams on their runs.

OPEN AIR GROUNDS EAST Ropes Course Village: all over Europe last year, some 25 million people visited a ropes course with the intention of proving their skills and at the same time to put to the test their courage, will power and the ability to assess risk correctly. And that is reason enough for both the European Ropes Course Association (ERCA) and the International Adventure Park Association (IAPA) to be presenting themselves for the first time at the OutDoor in 2012. Included in this premiere appearance, there are practical demonstrations of special rescue techniques planned and there will be information about the professional training of the operating personnel.
