WELCOME TO LAKE CONSTANCE, WE ARE CELEBRATING 60 YEARS OF INTERBOOT INTERBOOT celebrates its 60th anniversary! INTERBOOT #1 was successfully launched in 1962. It has stayed the course since then, bravely weathering the storms of the times and always moving forward with a clear mission: giving the best to water sports and exhibiting the best of water sports. Even in the midst of a global pandemic, the fair and its water sports family showed the world that a marketplace for the industry can continue to function and hold its own even under the most adverse of circumstances. Having set sail on this successful course, it is now heading for its 60th edition. Friedrichshafen has always been its safe harbor. Professional yet still exuding a family atmosphere, reliable and innovative, very well
equipped and adaptable, with everything close by, and featuring an expansive setting at the same time. The crew is experienced, always ready to listen and provide an answer to nearly any question, and seeking to make the best out of every situation for you. Come join us on board INTERBOOT #60! Celebrate this fantastic anniversary with us and give ourselves and our common guests a very special time of water sports enjoyment in the heart of Europe. Sincerely yours, Dirk Kreidenweiß

OUR REVIEW OF 2020, YOUR OUTLOOK FOR 2021 2020 was a year that no one is likely to ever forget. With Covid-19, Germany and the world at large are being confronted with a once-in-a-century pandemic, one that is still turning our normal lives upside down. What people like to do most, getting together with other people, has been severely restricted and prohibited – and that includes hosting of trade fairs.
by exhibitors and visitors alike. Even though the number of visitors was significantly lower than that of a “normal” INTERBOOT due to the legal requirements and the uncertainty among certain target groups, we made an amazing realization at the event itself: the visitors not only were very well informed but also had plenty of money to spend.
After the initial lockdown and a subsequent trade fair ban that lasted months, INTERBOOT 2020 was the first trade fair in Baden-Württemberg and one of the first in Germany that was allowed or even able to take place again. Our hygiene concept and the rapid changeover to digitalized process procedures were rated very positively
All in all, this resulted in an INTERBOOT that was characterized by high quality, efficiency, and an extremely pleasant working atmosphere on all nine days. INTERBOOT 2020 also clearly demonstrated that this emotionally engaging market needs a platform in real life so that the products can be experienced
and sales can be made. Live is live, and digital is digital, and that continues to be true in 2021. Just as it is impossible for a family to visit the pool digitally, a maritime shopping trip needs to take place in the real world. That means that INTERBOOT will once again be a lighthouse event for staging maritime product lines for strong sales. These positive experiences from 2020 will also be carried over into the 60th INTERBOOT, with further optimization where needed. We will probably still be living with restrictions in 2021, but the prospects for a successful late-summer event are quite good. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity and make the most of it!
INTERBOOT MILESTONES Sixty years of INTERBOOT – that’s 60 years in which our society and water sports have changed and evolved to an incredible extent. There is one thing that is a common thread throughout the history of INTERBOOT: demonstrating trends and innovations at an early stage has always been a big part of it. With its wide range of programs, INTERBOOT has often been a trendsetter, and that remains the case today. Come along on a trip back in time with us and see for yourself:

INTERBOOT IS RATED BEST YEARS
International water sports exhibition
International water sports exhibition INTERBOOT is rated by consumers as the best in Germany according to the results of the study carried out for the third time and published by Focus Money, Deutschland Test, and the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) 2020. With a score of 100, INTERBOOT reached the highest rating and is this year’s industry winner, simultaneously making it the benchmark for all other enterprises assessed within the industry. In Germany’s largest brand test, a total of 24,000 brands in all kinds of industries were evaluated. Consumers assess various criteria, including value for money, service and quality, willingness to purchase, and how a brand is recommended to others. Appeal to the consumer and trust also play an important role. “We can be very proud of this award. It is also a confirmation of our dedicated commitment to the water sports industry,” says Messe Friedrichshafen CEO Klaus Wellmann and Head of INTERBOOT Dirk Kreidenweiß.
