Tom Bolles’ Luminous 8 is a striking piece. The prodigious scale of Tom’s work is part of the appeal to me; not only is it large, it’s impactful in terms of color and imagery. This work fits perfectly with the direction our work is focusing on now. Whether this piece is placed in a more minimal interior where it would shine singularly or in a traditional space where it would have a strong contrast to its surroundings, it would work so well and have longevity of appeal.

The arresting stare of Eleanor, the majestic Highland Cow captured by Randal Ford, immediately draws me into a conversation with her. I’ve always loved how art compels us to pause and reflect often before we even know it is happening, and this portrait unabashedly does just that. As much as the portrait is a static moment capturing light and texture, it is a living moment too as Eleanor honestly presents herself and asks the viewer to do the same.
