The Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) wrapped up last Friday, Sept. 26, with Merritt able to budge-in and advocate for community necessities. The UBCM conference is a week-long event that allows municipalities and First Nations from across the province to gather and create a list of items that they see needing provincial government support. “It was a great UBCM, and I think we made some headway,” said Merritt Mayor Mike Goetz.
