Board member accepts full time executive role in Australia 19 January 2023 – Mercury has acknowledged the announcement that Dennis Barnes, director, has been appointed as the next Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Snowy Hydro Limited, a Commonwealth Company and Government Business Enterprise in Australia. Mr Barnes is expected to take up the role on 1 February 2023. Consequently, Mr Barnes will step down from the Mercury Board at a time to be determined.
