Sidsel Forr Hemma is the founder and CEO of ment®. She holds a degree in product design from Oslo Metropolitan University.
We are based in the world’s oldest ski factory, located in Fåberg just outside Lillehammer – a place where history and craftsmanship meet. Here, we’ve created an unconventional and vibrant production environment where design and handmade processes go hand in hand.
DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT & HANDCRAFT In a world dominated by machines, we’ve made a conscious choice: to stay true to craftsmanship. Each cup, bowl, and pitcher is touched by many hands before it's finished – and it shows. The slight differences give every piece its own charm and soul. At ment®, the entire process happens under one roof – from the first idea and sketch to the finished product. This gives us full control over design, quality, and sustainability throughout the entire production journey.

A part of Brimi Eventyr — tableware made to leave the kitchen behind. The Asjætt is perfect for breakfast, lunch or berries picked along the way, with a soft speckle and a lefse-inspired pattern underneath. The Småkåskål is made for porridge, soup and dessert, with a little spout for the last drop.

The pitcher you don’t want to hide away in a cupboard. Its soft, organic silhouette nods to the spruce seed that shaped the whole FRØ collection — and, seen straight on, to a classic amphora. Generous in size and easy to pour from, with a cork hand-turned in birch for that little bit extra. Made for everyday tables and for feast days alike.

Born from porcelain that has already had a life. We crush and sieve our green off-cuts, then cast them together with new white — and the marbling appears entirely on its own, so no two vases are ever the same. Generous enough for a big armful of branches or a flowering plant, and just as happy chilling a bottle of wine when the occasion calls for it.
