Susan and her husband Ben have been married for 40 years. This is the 4th book she has written, and it covers a span of 63 years. It is based upon their childhood experiences and their old-fashioned love story. When Susan was a senior in high school, she found herself in an awkward predicament. She was nominated for prom royalty and had to attend the elaborate event without a date. Ben didn’t bother to ask anyone to his prom, because he thought no one would want to go with him. Neither of them was optimistic they would ever find a lifelong love. That is until a mutual friend set up a blind date for them. One lesson the aging couple has learned is that marriage takes work, but love doesn’t have to grow old.
