June 2026 Vol.69 Choir 3006 Lunchtime singing sessions for Southbank
It's been a busy month for our community choir, with some very special guests & extraordinary musical moments. The group was learning Jess Hitchcock's Bloodline for the past month and were thrilled by the surprise appearance of the composer herself who performed a powerful rendition alongside our choristers. It was an emotional moment leaving everyone in tears! Only a week later, we were joined by Southbank’s neighbourhood watch, Senior Sergeant Alex O'Toole, Nina Taylor MP, and Cr Rafael Camillo from the City of Melbourne, to acknowledge the role Choir 3006 plays in making locals feel safe and creating a sense of belonging (group pictured above).
