April 2026 Vol.67 Relaxed Performances Concerts tailored for audiences with sensory sensitivities
Tarilindy Quartet were our Relaxed Performance artists in April, bringing to life several classics of the string quartet repertoire. Moving from Haydn to Shostakovich and then onto Australian composer Nigel Westlake, audiences enjoyed a journey through time with several melodic highlights. The young students in the schools’ concert particularly loved the first movement of Mendelssohn's sixth string quartet in f minor, that conjured up the whirling sounds of a storm, right in the middle of the Primrose Potter Salon. Many compliments and photos with the artists followed.
