Activities taking place in September: National Inclusion Week is taking place (15–21 Sept) and is a chance to celebrate the progress we’ve made across Compass and reflect on what more we can do. This year’s theme, ‘Now is the Time’, is a powerful call to action. There’s a full calendar of activities for you and your teams to get involved with - check it out HERE, along with a Line Manager 1-pager full of practical, fun ideas to bring inclusion to life. Keep an eye out for inspiring case studies from colleagues and our senior leaders and most importantly, get involved! You Matter: 10th September marks the World Suicide Prevention Day. The You Matter Network have created a poster that shares the support available to our colleagues. They have also pre-recorded an InclusiviTEA, hosted by You Matter Co-Chair, Evan Judge and with panelists from some of our networks - you can watch in your own time and step away if needed - Access the InclusiviTEA via the poster HERE. Women in Food: Earlier in August they shared the launch a new guide: Supporting Your Journey: Planning for Parenthood and the Workplace. It offers practical advice for colleagues and line managers, covering key considerations at various stages of the journey. WiF also shared earlier in the year our ‘Supporting Colleagues Through the Menopause’ training module. As we head towards Menopause Awareness Day in October, we’d love to raise more awareness and get our teams to complete the course - Please click HERE to access and share with your teams. Ability: A fantastic opportunity for our teams at any level to attend Neurodiversity in the Workplace Training via external partner It’s a Playground. This training is designed to understand what neurodiversity is, understand its significance, and discover how we can collectively foster a neuro-inclusive workplace. Participants will also learn how to effectively support neurodivergent colleagues. The next virtual session is on the 30 t h September 09.00-10.30, head to the Learning Portal to register today!
