We are proud to offer our Top 34 Red and Black Angus bull calves in the Rafter SJ Ranch 2026 Private Treaty Sale! These bulls are developed with one goal in mind — to go out, work hard, stay sound and add value to your calf crop for years to come.
Our bulls are grown out, not pushed. To promote soundness, longevity, and fertility, they are developed on quality hay and a grain-free 16% protein pellet from Country Junction Feeds. This steady development program helps ensure they stay athletic, hold condition, and cover cows efficiently once turned out.
The bulls receive a full vaccination program, including Pyramid FP5 + Presponse and Ultrabac 7/ Somubac in the spring, followed by a booster at weaning in the fall.
When selecting females and herd sires, we focus on the traits that matter most in a commercial setting: feet, udders, fertility, and quiet temperament. Our cow herd is built from top production and dispersal programs along with genetics sourced from the respected Red Round-Up Sale. We use a blend of proven, dependable AI sires and strong maternal cow families to produce bulls that calve easily, grow efficiently, and sire market-topping calves.
Whether you need calving-ease bulls for heifers or performance bulls to add pounds at weaning, we have options to fit your program.
We welcome new and returning customers and are happy to answer any questions about our bulls or our program. We are confident in our 2026 offering and provide a volume discount of 2% on the second bull and 3% on the third bull purchased.

REDMAN 11L is a long bodied, deep-flanked direct son of one of the most respected Red Angus sires; Red RMJ Redman 1T, combining power, structural correctness, and maternal strength. We feel blessed to have this Red U2 Genesis 103G son walking our pastures! His sire was the second high selling bull at the 2020 U2 bull sale for $77,000. We bought his beautiful dam as a bred heifer at Red Round-Up and we were sure happy when she had a bull for us. ELATION is a powerful, dark red Angus bull that blends striking presence with practical performance, and backed by proven genetics. Stout hipped and wide based, he carries a bold, masculine look accented by a classic Angus skull. Elation was the lead-off and high-selling bull in the Diamond T 2024 Bull Sale. They had scored his feet for having top score for both claw set and hoof angle, giving him a foot built for longevity and sound movement. He is the sire of 7 bulls offered, and he is sure to become a cornerstone in our breeding program and his sons in yours.

This is the last year we will have bulls available from RED RAFTER SJ BAZINGA 10K, and we are now wishing we had drawn semen on him. We only acquired 2 straws on his sire and were sure happy to have him walking our pastures for the short time we had him. His dam is a very beautiful moderate framed 12 year old cow with awesome awesome feet and udder suspension and teat size, who has produced a keeper every year. 2 sons available.
