INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN PORTFOLIO

Savannah College of Art and Design | Expected Graduation May 28, 2026

ABOUT ME

My path to interior design has been anything but linear. As a kid, I was constantly rearranging rooms, noticing details, and imagining how spaces could feel different. Still, I never considered design a potential career. I began with a degree in French and International Relations from the University of Texas and followed a “safe” post-graduation path into finance. I grew quickly and gained invaluable experience but, even as I flourished professionally, I felt the absence of creativity.

After COVID, I took time to reassess what I wanted my career to be. That period of reflection gave me the courage to pursue what I’ve loved since childhood: design. I applied to the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue interior design at the highest level and to develop a deeper understanding of how environments shape experience.

My design philosophy is simple: design should improve people’s lives. Every material choice, lighting decision, and spatial move begins with the same question - who is this for, and how will it support them? I believe that interior design is caring for other people. It facilitates connection, belonging, and well-being.

This portfolio is a snapshot of my work as it continues to evolve. I’m looking forward to joining a firm where I can learn from experienced designers, collaborate closely, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact my community.

CONCEPT

SOZO is a research-driven capstone project addressing the complex socio-political realities of mass incarceration and the challenges individuals face upon reentry. Inspired by the injustices embedded within the American carceral system, the project explores how design can support restoration, dignity, and long-term well-being. The design concept, RESTORED WITH CARE, draws from the craftsmanship of vintage automobiles, where careful deconstruction and intentional rebuilding create something stronger and more refined. This philosophy is expressed through an approach that is integrated and trauma-informed approach. Thoughtful materiality, spatial organization, and sensory experiences work together to create an environment that feels welcoming, humancentered, and restorative.

The facility is designed to accommodate up to 16 live-in residents at a time. The second floor was not in scope for this project.
