Starting a new role can feel like navigating a maze through new systems and unfamiliar processes. That 18” was the case for Robert Metzinger, the HR manager at our ReadyCare facility in Hartland, Wis. Within his first week, Robert needed to figure out how to order supplies through Coupa, determine phone access and secure a corporate credit card for employee related expenses. Thankfully, Medline employee Adam Schwantes, supply chain manager, stepped up to help. From day one, Adam went beyond introductions. Robert recalls, “Adam was my go-to person; in each interaction, he was responsive, helpful and patient.” Whether it was walking through a system step-by-step or troubleshooting an issue in person, Adam ensured that no question went unanswered. Supporting team members comes naturally to Adam. “It’s important to me to build trust and positive collaboration with any new employee. Strong relationships make problem-solving easier and help create a positive and productive culture,” he says. “By prioritizing respect and communication, we achieve better results and ensure people feel valued and connected.” Adam’s support not only helped Robert navigate the challenges of his new role but also demonstrates how the value, We Believe Relationships Matter, fosters a culture where teamwork and genuine connection are truly appreciated.
