Letter From Bill Cosgrove Dear Medina Country Club Members, As you can see, we have a World Class clubhouse being built behind our current clubhouse. Now that the timing of everything is coming further in to focus, I figured now would be the best time to share some updates on everything. As you can imagine we have a lot of moving parts. Probably best to communicate point by point. In the next 30 days, Krill Construction will be demolishing the Magnolia Room ( old pro shop) attached to the current clubhouse. The remaining current clubhouse will in use and operate until our last Christmas party on Saturday, December 19th. The patio outside the current clubhouse will remain usable through the end of this current golf season. The 18th hole will be converted to a par 3, approximately 140 yards in length. This will happen in the next 30 days. We are learning some big hitters can reach the construction sight from the 18th tee box. Glass will be installed in the new clubhouse in the next 30 days. We have no choice but to temporarily turn 18 into a par 3. We will add a tee box to the current right side of the 18th fairway and level out the tee box for play. The 18thhole will remain a par 3 temporarily but most likely through the 2027 golf season & maybe into the 2028 season as well. The current clubhouse will remain open and operable through our Christmas party on Saturday, December 19th. Members will have the week starting Sunday, December 13th through the Christmas party the evening of Saturday, December 19th to remove all your personal belongings. The current clubhouse will be permanently closed on Sunday, December 20th and preparations for demolition will commence at that time. Demolition of the old clubhouse will start in January 2027 and take approximately 5 weeks to complete. January 1, 2027, until June 1, 2027, we will be operating the entire club from the Union Performance Centre (UPC). The goal, subject to construction schedule is to open the new clubhouse on Tuesday, June 1, 2027. The Event Center Ballroom ( name tbd) in the new clubhouse will seat approximately 225 people ( maybe up to 250). We will allow member dining and normal golf outings to use the new Event Center immediately upon opening the new clubhouse, however we will not book member parties or outside events in the Event Center until September 1, 2027. The Ballroom will take reservations from non-members for weddings and private events. Golf outings scheduled in May will use the UPC. Starting in June they will use the new clubhouse Event Center Ballroom. The last day of operation for our current pool will be Labor Day weekend, the last day of pool operation will be Monday, September 7th. Starting Tuesday, September 8th, the current pool area will be permanently closed and become a demolition construction sight through spring of 2027. Note: our pool was built in 1964, and I’m told it’s the oldest operating pool in Medina County.

Our new World Class future resort style pool is in the final stages of design. It will be located to the west of our new clubhouse. Dirt is being moved now, and the ground is being prepared for construction. The new resort style pool is estimated to open on Thursday, July 1, 2027, subject to construction schedule. Given we will be operating out of the UPC, food minimums will be reduced to $100 per member for both the first and second quarters of 2027. Regularly scheduled food minimums will resume starting July 1, 2027. Future for the championship golf course: We are in the process of working with renowned golf architect, Dave Zinkand ( Reversible) to redesign the north part of our golf course given the location of the new clubhouse. 1st hole, 9th hole, 10th hole, and 18th hole, will all be brand new holes to include tearing down the current cart barn and relocate a new cart barn. We will reroute part of the golf course and keep some holes we have now. We will redesign and rebuild all 18 greens, different shapes & sizes along with newly designed green side bunkering. We will also install fairway bunkers as well. The future course needs new irrigation installed throughout. Given that the clubhouse and cart staging areas of the clubhouse will be completed in the summer of next year (2027), we are developing a plan that will take through this winter to complete the plan. For now, I would anticipate the current championship golf course to remain in place through next year’s ( 2027) golf season. Construction of the future championship golf course would begin in 2028 in phases. We will have 18 holes throughout the construction using the Reversible holes. What holes we start with construction will be determined based on our, to be determined, irrigation plans. The course has the original irrigation. The newly installed irrigation will be a heavy construction project. The plan will be to take no more than 9 holes at a time for construction through world renowned Frontier Golf ( Reversible). Construction will happen half/half through 2028 & 2029 with the totally completed new championship golf course open in 2030. I do not anticipate the future championship course to be a carbon copy of the Reversible. It will have it’s own characteristics. In closing - Our goal continues to be one goal. To build the best family country club on the westside of Northeast Ohio. The new clubhouse, resort style pool area, event center ballroom, and the future design golf course ( many current holes will remain with newly sculptured fairways, bunkers and greens), along with newly designed opening and closing holes, will be an estimated 35-million-dollar combined investment without any (zero) capital investment from the membership. There will NEVER be a membership assessment at our club, as long as our family owns the club. We have no intentions selling. We are in too deep to sell! I would anticipate future new member initiation fees to continue upward, and annual dues will always be commensurate with the northeast Ohio country club market.

Straight From The Fairway Dear Medina Country Club Members, As we progress through the golf season, we want to take a moment to remind everyone that great course care starts with our membership. The condition of our course is a reflection of the pride we take in our club, and every member plays an important role in keeping it in the best possible shape.

FIX YOUR DIVOTS. Whether walking or riding, please take a moment to properly replace or fill divots. When divots are intact, please replace them without adding sand. If a divot cannot be replaced, please fill the divot with sand. Leaving the course as you found it—or better—is one of the easiest ways we can help our grounds staff.

REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS Please repair your own ball mark on the green, and if you see another nearby, take care of that one too. A few extra seconds can make a significant difference in the quality of our putting surfaces.

BE MINDFUL OF CART TRAFFIC Please pay attention to cart signs, designated paths, and wet areas. Avoid unnecessary traffic around greens, tees, and other sensitive areas. When conditions are wet, making the right choice about where and when to drive is especially important. Use caution when navigating through the parking lot to the Clubhouse or Practice Facility. Watch for oncoming traffic and pedestrians.

DRIVING RANGE ETIQUETTE Please remain on the designated hitting mats when using the driving range. The artificial turf mats are designed to accommodate the use of tees, and the ability to tee the ball directly into the artificial turf was an intentional design consideration when selecting the range surface. Staying on the mats helps protect the range turf and keeps the practice area in good condition for everyone.

KEEP PACE OF PLAY IN MIND Enjoy your round, but please be aware of the group behind you. Being ready to play, limiting unnecessary delays, and maintaining a steady pace helps make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. If your group falls behind, please make an effort to catch up or allow faster groups to play through when appropriate.

BE CONSIDERATE WITH MUSIC AND NOISE Music can be a great part of the golf experience, but please keep volume at a level that is respectful of other groups on the course. What sounds comfortable to your group may be distracting to someone playing nearby. A little awareness goes a long way.

These small courtesies add up. Our maintenance team works hard every day to provide us with exceptional playing conditions, and the membership can help protect that work by taking ownership of the course during every round. Thank you for doing your part, taking pride in Medina Country Club, and helping us maintain a course that we can all be proud to play. Great course care starts with the Membership.
