Dear Medina Country Club Members,
As we turn the calendar to July, I am filled with excitement for all that lies ahead at Medina Country Club. Summer is in full swing, and our team has been working hard to create memorable experiences for our members and their families.
From outstanding golf events to family activities and dining experiences, July promises to be one of the most exciting months of the year at MCC.
This year, our nation continues its celebration of America's Semi quincentennial, commemorating 250 years of our country's rich history and enduring spirit. In recognition of this historic milestone, Medina Country Club will be offering special promotions honoring veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. We are proud to recognize the courage, dedication, and selflessness of our nation's heroes.
Member Central Login
One of the highlights of our summer season is the annual July Invitational, taking place July 16–18. This event has become a favorite tradition among both our members and staff, bringing together great competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable experiences. Our team is planning an exceptional weekend filled with outstanding golf, hospitality, and entertainment for members and their guests. We are committed to making this year's Invitational one for the record books, and we look forward to welcoming participants for what promises to be a truly memorable event.
Membership opportunities remain available at Medina Country Club, and there has never been a better time to introduce friends, family members, or colleagues to all that MCC has to offer. As a reminder, our Member Referral Incentive Program is still in effect. Current members who refer a new Golf Member will receive a one-month dues credit as our way of saying thank you for helping grow our club family.

I am also pleased to share that our full summer staff has officially returned. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our department heads, full-time staff, and seasonal team members for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Their passion for service and attention to detail help create the exceptional experiences our members enjoy every day. Because of their efforts, Medina Country Club continues to work towards our goal of being one of the premier family clubs in the Cleveland area.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our members who attended the recent Clubhouse Beam Signing Celebration. The event was a tremendous success and a meaningful milestone in the future of Medina Country Club. It was wonderful to see so many members come together to celebrate this exciting chapter in our club's history while having the opportunity to get an up-close look at our future clubhouse. The enthusiasm, support, and pride displayed throughout the event made it a truly memorable occasion. We look forward to continuing to share updates and progress as our vision for the future becomes a reality.

Summer is in full swing, and July promises to be one of the busiest and most exciting months of the golf season. We have a full calendar of events, excellent course conditions, and one of our premier tournaments right around the corner.
Men's Invitational – July 16-18
The highlight of the month is our annual Men's Invitational, taking place July 16-18. This three-day event brings together members and guests for outstanding competition, camaraderie, and entertainment.
The tournament field is shaping up to be one of the strongest in recent years, and we look forward to welcoming players from throughout the region to Medina Country Club. Members should expect increased activity around the golf course and clubhouse throughout the week.
Key Invitational Schedule
• Thursday, July 16 – Opening Festivities, Practice Round & Match 1
• Friday, July 17 – Matches 2&3
• Saturday, July 18 – Matches 4&5, Shootout, Awards, and Championship Presentation
We encourage all participants to familiarize themselves with tournament information and pairings as they become available. Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we prepare the golf course and facilities for one of our signature events.
Golf Course Update
The golf course continues to be in excellent condition thanks to the hard work of our grounds staff. Summer weather has allowed the course to mature nicely, and members can expect firm, fast conditions throughout July.
Please remember:
• Repair ball marks on greens.
• Fill divots with the provided sand mixture.
• Rake bunkers after use.
• Observe all cart traffic restrictions and directional signage.
These small efforts help preserve course conditions for all members and guests.
The Reversible
The Reversible continues to receive tremendous member support and has become a popular option for a quick round. Members are reminded to check in with the Starter before play and adhere to all posted operating hours.
Current Hours:
• Tuesday-Friday: First tee time at 9:00 AM
• Saturday-Sunday: First tee time at 8:00 AM
• Monday: Closed Handicap Reminders
As we enter the heart of tournament season, please remember that all acceptable scores must be posted to GHIN within 48 hours of play. Maintaining an accurate Handicap Index ensures fair competition for all members.

Notes From The Grounds Crew
Dear members,
It is nice to see the weather changing and conditions drying out on the golf course. I am very happy with the turf conditions as we strive to make the course enjoyable for everyone to play.
We continue to work on thin areas on the reversible nine, and you will see us working on sodding some of these areas. Overall, I am excited about the reversible nine and it is nice to see carts out there for the first time. We will continue to monitor the traffic flow and will act accordingly.
We are working on edging all bunkers and will move to edging flower beds in the near future. Let’s keep our fingers crossed for good weather and a little timely rain during the overnight hours over the next few weeks.

2026 Pool Season Information
Dear Medina Country Club Members,
It’s officially pool season at Medina Country Club! We are excited to welcome you back for another wonderful season. Please take a moment to review the information and rules below to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all members and guests.
Pool Hours & Access
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Sunday, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Access: Golf Members and Social Members both have access to the pool.
Guests: Guests: Members may bring guests to the pool. When signing in, you do not need to list yourself or your immediate family members as guests. Only those outside your membership coverage need to be registered and paid for as guests at $9.00 per person.
Who counts as a guest depends on your membership type:
• Family Membership: A guest is anyone who is not part of your immediate family. This includes extended family members such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as adult children over the age of 26 who are no longer covered under your family membership.
• Single Membership: A guest is anyone other than yourself. This means that even immediate family members, including a spouse, children, or parents are considered guests.
Mandatory Pool Breaks
The pool will observe mandatory 15-minute breaks every hour. No one under the age of 18 may be in the pool during pool breaks. Small children may remain in the water during breaks only if they are in a flotation device and accompanied by a parent.
Private Swim Lessons
Private swim lessons are available and will be conducted by our certified lifeguards who hold their Water Safety Instructor (WSI) license. To book a lesson, please see the lifeguard at the snack shack at the pool.
Umbrella Safety Policy
Pool umbrellas pose a serious safety risk if not handled properly — when caught by the wind, they can become airborne and cause significant injury to those nearby. Members should never open, close, or adjust pool umbrellas themselves. Please always ask a staff member for assistance. When wind gusts exceed 15 mph, all pool umbrellas will be closed and will remain closed for the safety of everyone on the pool deck. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.
Pool Rules
For the safety and enjoyment of all, please observe the following rules at all times:
• No running.
• No pushing or throwing anyone in the pool.
• No playing on the stairs.
• No playing on or hanging from the rope.
• No excessive splashing or dunking.
• No sitting on shoulders.
• No jumping over or diving over other swimmers.
• No roughhousing.
• No profane language.
• No large inflatables or pool floats
• No mermaid tails or any equipment that locks the feet together.
• Members should never open or adjust pool umbrellas themselves — please ask a staff member for assistance at all times.
• No one under the age of 18 in the pool during pool breaks. Exception: Small children may remain in the pool during breaks if they are in a flotation device and accompanied by a parent.
• No diving in the shallow end.
We appreciate your cooperation in following these guidelines. They are in place to keep everyone safe and to ensure a fun environment for our entire membership. We look forward to a wonderful pool season!

Inside The Clubhouse
Hello from the Clubhouse,
I hope that Summer is treating you well. I want to start this month’s letter by welcoming the newest member to our team in Tracy Jendrisak to our team here at Medina CC. Tracy will be our new Food and Beverage Manager and brings a world of experience with her after many years in the business. We look forward to enhancing our Food and Beverage even further as we look forward to moving into our beautiful brand-new clubhouse.
As we hit July of course, we must talk about our Men’s Invitational, which is our flagship event here every summer. A soldout field will be welcomed with amazing food and drinks along with a few surprises along the way. We can’t wait to display so many wonderful options for all our participants to choose from. While the clubhouse will be closed for the three days of the event, the pool will be open as usual so all members can still come out and enjoy the sun.
Our Patio Night’s are up and going we look forward to Live Music down at the UPC. You can register for these and all events by going to the website and signing up through Golf Genius. Our second couples’ event will also be held at the end of July. We look forward to selling out this one just like we did the first one. Please don’t miss out on an awesome evening with great food and amazing friends. Have a great month and I look forward to seeing you all out at the club.

The Academy is happy to see so many people working on their golf games. The short game practice area is busier than we have ever seen. If you have included us in your game improvement plan, thank you! If you would like some help with your practice, please give us a call.
The Academy and Medina Country Club was honored to have a team invited to the Firestone Cup. The Firestone Cup is a PGA Junior League exhibition to kick off the Senior PGA Kaulig Companies Championship week at Firestone. The event took place on July 8th. Eight junior golfers from Medina CC participated. The event was held after this newsletter was printed so we don’t have the results for you but ask us when you see us and we will be happy to fill you in.

Our highlight program this month is our High School Development Program. This is a 16-week program designed for high schoolers who are interested in trying out for their high school golf teams. We have a record 45 players in the program representing 20 high schools. Please keep these golfers in mind in the coming weeks as they put all their hard work to the test when tryouts begin July 26th.
Family Golf Day - Please put Sunday, October 4th on your calendar for the 5th annual Family Golf Day. This is a day to invite the entire family for a fun 9-hole family scramble followed by a picnic at the UPC with games and football watching. More details to follow.
Fall PGA Junior League – Our fall PGA Junior League will start in August. Registrations will be open this month. Please see our Groups Programs & Clinics web page for more information.
Drive Chip & Putt – we are once again proud to be hosting two Drive Chip & Putt events this year. The local qualifier (stage 1 of 4) will be held on Sunday, July 26. The subregional (stage 2 of 4) will be held on Sunday, August 16. Both events will have over 120 participants. The practice facilities will be closed both of those days to allow us to conduct these events, and we appreciate it more than you know. It will take 30 volunteers each day to conduct these events.
