From The General
Dear Members,
As we continue into 2026, we are pleased to share several important updates and milestones. The 2026 Golf Book has officially been released, and this year’s edition is filled with key tournament dates, overall MCC golf information, signature events, and opportunities designed to help you make the most of your membership. We encourage you to pick up your copy and begin planning for what promises to be an outstanding year on the course.
Our Lent Fish Frys are now in full swing and have already been a tremendous success. These gatherings continue to bring members, families, and friends together for great food, fellowship, and community spirit. If you have not yet joined us, we invite you to take part in this wonderful seasonal tradition in the coming weeks.
At the same time, the 2026 golf season is quickly approaching. Although we are finishing the final stretch of winter, preparations are already well underway to ensure exceptional course conditions and a full calendar of memorable events. From weekly games and tournaments to casual rounds with friends, we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the fairways very soon.
Progress on our new world-class clubhouse continues at an exciting pace. Structural steel is currently going up, and it is impressive to see the framework of the building taking shape. In the weeks ahead, additional major construction components will begin, marking significant milestones in this transformative project. Each phase brings us closer to delivering a facility that will elevate the member experience for generations to come. We look forward to continuing to share updates as construction advances.

We are also excited to report continued growth in our membership. The energy surrounding the Club and the vision for our future amenities have generated strong interest from prospective members. As a reminder, our One Month of Dues Program remains in place for members who refer a new Golf Member. This is our way of thanking you for helping strengthen and grow our community with individuals who will value and contribute to the Club experience. If you know someone who would be a great fit, we encourage you to introduce them.
Thank you for your ongoing support and enthusiasm. The momentum building across all areas of the Club is truly exciting, and we are grateful to share this journey with you.

As we head into the start of the season at Medina Country Club, tournament registration is now open for all of our golf events(except Invitationals). Members are encouraged to secure their spots early through Golf Genius, where you can quickly view schedules, formats, and costs for the 2026 competitive calendar. With another strong year of participation expected at MCC, early sign-ups will help ensure you don’t miss out on your preferred events. We also have several club fitting experiences scheduled in the coming weeks — be sure to watch your email and socials for upcoming announcements and registration details.
Golf Simulators
As temperatures dip, your game does not have to. Head to the Union Performance Centre to keep your swing sharp all season long. All Medina Country Club members, including Social Members, are welcome to reserve TrackMan simulator bays by the hour for dedicated practice, friendly rounds, or a little off season competition.
Looking for something more playful? TrackMan also offers a variety of mini games that are perfect for kids or anyone in the mood for a fun twist on golf.
As a seasonal reminder, now is a great time to drop your clubs off for bag storage to make your golf days more convenient and enjoyable. Please note that while we are happy to store golf bags, we are not able to store pull carts. Thank you for helping us keep our storage areas organized and accessible for all Members throughout the season.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Exciting progress is happening at Medina Country Club. The steel framework of our new clubhouse is rising quickly, and you can truly see the vision beginning to take shape. Each beam placed brings us one step closer to a beautiful new space designed for gathering, celebrating, and creating lasting memories together. We’ve included photos so you can follow along as this next chapter continues to come to life.

Grounds Crew Update
I would like to take this opportunity to give the membership an update on the progress of the maintenance staff during the past month. We have been diligently working on our mowing equipment in preparation for the warmer weather coming soon. We are halfway done with the rebuilding and sharpening of all the reel mowers. These would include greens, tee, fairway, approach, and step-cut mowers. Also, we take the opportunity to further our education during the winter months which took Dave Hershey and I to Orlando for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America
Turf Show. The biggest topic that every vendor is moving towards are autonomous mowing equipment. It is definitely the trend of the future, and we are in conversations to figure out how they can help us at Medina Country Club.

THROWBACK SPOTLIGHT

Throw back to last March where our very own, Trevor Hazen, PGA Hope National Trainer was giving an instructor training seminar to future PGA Hope Trainers. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of the PGA of America. It introduces and teaches golf to Veterans and Active Duty Military as a form of therapy, connection, and rehabilitation. The program is grounded in research showing the positive impact golf can have on mobility, stress reduction, and overall quality of life.

Around the Clubhouse
Happy Spring,
I hope this brutal winter hasn’t treated everyone too roughly. Spring is right around the corner and that means warmer weather and ever so close to golfing outdoors. This winter we have spent a good amount of time coming up with some awesome plans for non-golf activities that we are sure you and your families will love.
This month signifies our annual St. Patrick’s Day Party. This will be run all day and night inside the main the Clubhouse. Chef Brandon and his team have put an incredible menu together filled St. Patrick’s Day favorites and a couple surprises. Alec has also crafted an awesome cocktail menu that will hit just right with everyone of all ages. Make sure to come check out the Milkshakes, they will be out of this world.
Fish Fry’s are still going strong as are our Trivia Night’s on every other Wednesday. We ask everybody please make a Reservation online so we can make your dining experience with us as wonderful as possible.
If you need a Key Card to have access to the UPC on days that the Club is closed, please email me at rob.jersan@medinacc. com so I can get you a card as soon as possible.

Inside the Academy
It has been great to see so many people using the indoor practice centre at the club. Just a couple of reminders about how the indoor practice area works:
• You do not need to reserve time in one of the four hitting bays. When you get to the indoor centre, if there is an open hitting bay, jump in and start practicing.
• Each of the hitting bays is equipped with a Garmin launch monitor. If you are not familiar with that technology, we will be happy to give you a short orientation.
• We do ask that if the centre is busy and there are people waiting, please be fair with your time in a hitting bay to allow everyone the opportunity to practice.
• You do not need a reservation to use the putting/chipping green. It is available to use whenever the centre is open.
• The Academy has been conducting some indoor clinics. During these clinics, we try to keep as much of the indoor practice area open for member usage (at least 2 hitting bays and half the putting green).
• Members are welcome to bring an occasional guest to the indoor practice area. Please indicate in the sign-in book when you have a guest and remember the guest fee is $25.
Spring is right around the corner. We have several indoor clinics still planned in March & April and our season clinic schedule is listed on the website. We are here to help you achieve your golfing goals for 2026 in any way that we can.
