Welcome to the
2026 GOLF SEASON HANDICAPPING POLICIES & PROCEDURES: To ensure fairness and competitive integrity, all Members are expected to follow posting standards consistent with USGA guidelines. Posting Requirements • All acceptable scores must be posted (9 or 18 holes) • Scores from rounds played alone are not eligible for posting • Scores must be posted within 48 hours after the round Failure to Post If a score is not posted within the allotted time, a non-posting score of 72 may be posted. Members will first receive a verbal warning, followed by a written warning and possible disciplinary action per Club policy. Additional Handicap Policies • The Handicap Committee may audit score posting from any date • Professional Staff will post all eligible competition scores for Club events • The Committee reserves the right to review indexes for events and adjust as needed at its discretion • Maintaining the highest level of competitive integrity is a core value of Club golf operations
MEN & LADIES’ PLAYER OF THE YEAR: The Player of the Year award is presented to the Member who accumulates the most points throughout the major tournament schedule. Points Structure • Points are awarded for 1st through 4th place in each event • In team events, each player receives full points for the finishing position • Point allocations for each event are listed within the event description • $3 from each tournament entry will be contributed to the Player of the Year fund • The top four finishers in final standings will receive payouts
GOLF COURSE DRESS CODE At Medina Country Club, all golfers must adhere to the Club’s dress code while on the course. Proper golf attire is required and players who fail to comply with the dress code may be asked to change or leave the course.

The Opening Day Scramble kicks off the tournament season. The Professional Staff will select foursomes to encourage fellowship among new and existing Members. Teams will be formed using an ABCD draw through Golf Genius. Format: Four-Man Scramble Skill events will be conducted throughout the course. Player of the Year Points: 1st Place - 400, 2nd Place - 300, 3rd Place - 200, 4th Place - 100

This historic event remains a staple at the Club. Members select their own partners. Qualifier: 18-Hole Better Ball – 90% Handicap Top 47 teams advance to match play and are seeded based on qualifying score. The defending champions receive the automatic #1 seed. Match Play Format: Better Ball of Partners All handicaps will be played off the low handicap of the foursome. High ball breaks ties. Matches must be completed by designated deadlines. Player of the Year Points: 1st Place - 400, 2nd Place - 300, 3rd Place - 200, 4th Place - 100

THE REVERSIBLE 9-HOLE COURSE The Reversible Course at Medina Country Club is now open for play. This innovative layout offers a truly unique golf experience, as it can be played in two distinct directions — the Purple and the Green. Each routing plays to a par 31 and features five par 3s and four par 4s, delivering a fun yet challenging test in either direction. The Reversible Course is open Tuesday through Sunday, beginning one hour after the Championship 18 (see schedule below). Players should check in with the starter located at the path leading to the first tee prior to play. We invite you to take in the scenic views and enjoy a creative design that provides a fresh experience each time you tee it up.

INCLIMENT WEATHER Lightning Policy • At the first sound of thunder or detection of lightning within a 10-mile radius, all outdoor activities will be immediately suspended. This will be signaled by long blasts from an air horn. • Golfers must discontinue play and seek shelter immediately. • Acceptable shelters include the clubhouse, pro shop, cart barn, UPC or fully enclosed vehicles. • Play may resume only after 30 minutes have passed since the last observed lightning strike or thunder. Severe Weather Conditions The following conditions may result in suspension or closure of facilities: • Lightning and thunderstorms • High winds • Heavy rain causing unsafe course or ground conditions • Hail • Tornado warnings or watches • Extreme heat or cold • Snow, ice, or freezing rain Tornado and Severe Storm Procedures • When a Tornado Warning is issued, all club operations will be suspended immediately. • Members, guests, and staff must move to designated interior shelter areas away from windows. • Outdoor areas will be cleared without delay. • Activities may resume only after an all-clear is issued and management determines conditions are safe. Golf Course Procedures • Carts may be restricted or prohibited due to wet or unsafe conditions. • The course may be closed at management’s discretion to protect player safety and course integrity.
