Dear Members,
As we move through another outstanding golf season, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued support and enthusiasm for Medina Country Club.
First and foremost, thank you to all of our members and their guests who participated in the 2026 July Invitational. The tournament was a tremendous success, and it is truly the people who make this event so special. Your participation, sportsmanship, and camaraderie are what create the memorable experiences that define our club. We sincerely appreciate everyone who joined us and helped make this year's Invitational another unforgettable event.
Our club membership continues to be exceptionally healthy. We were thrilled to welcome many new members during the month of July, and we expect that positive momentum to continue in the months ahead. As a reminder, our New Golf Member Referral Program is still in effect. If you refer a new golf member who joins the club, you will receive one month of dues credit as our way of saying thank you for helping grow the Medina Country Club family.
Excitement continues to build as construction of our new clubhouse progresses. The 37,000-square-foot facility is really beginning to take shape, with the exterior now framed and the roof nearing completion. Every week brings visible progress, and we can't wait to share this incredible new space with all of you.
We're also making significant strides in the planning and design of our new pool house and pool complex. The vision for this exciting addition is coming together beautifully, and we look forward to sharing renderings with the membership in the not-too-distant future. There are many exciting things on the horizon, and we appreciate your patience and support as these transformational projects continue.

Celebrating Another Outstanding July Invitational
The 2026 Men's July Invitational once again showcased everything that makes tournament golf at Medina Country Club so special. Over three days of spirited competition, outstanding sportsmanship, and lasting camaraderie, members enjoyed one of the highlights of our golf season. Congratulations to all of our flight winners and to our 2026 Invitational Champions, Tim Henning and Mike McAllister, for their exceptional play throughout the championship. More importantly, thank you to every participant whose enthusiasm and support continue to make this event one of our club's most cherished traditions. We also extend our appreciation to the staff and volunteers whose dedication behind the scenes ensured another first-class experience from start to finish.
The Pursuit of a Club Championship
Few titles at Medina Country Club carry the prestige and tradition of Club Champion. On August 22-23, our finest players will compete over 36 holes to determine the 2026 Club Champion while also crowning our Senior Club Champion, Ladies Club Champion and Flight Champions. The Club Championship is more than a tournament—it is a celebration of the competitive spirit and excellence that define our membership. Whether competing for the overall title or striving to capture a flight championship, participants will enjoy a memorable weekend of championship golf. We encourage all eligible members to join the field and take part in one of the most distinguished events on our annual calendar.
Looking Ahead: The Men's September Invitational
As summer begins to wind down, we look forward to another exceptional weekend of golf with the Men's
September Invitational on September 11-12. Designed to combine spirited competition with the camaraderie that makes Medina Country Club unique, the event begins Friday with registration, lunch, our exclusive Sunday Golf gifting experience, and a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start. Friday evening concludes with a couples dinner and chipping contest before players return Saturday morning for breakfast and the final rounds of competition. The Men's September Invitational has quickly become a member favorite, offering the perfect blend of championship golf and memorable social experiences. If you have not yet secured your place in the field, we encourage you to register soon and join us for another outstanding club tradition.

Notes From The Grounds Crew
An update from the maintenance staff. As we get into the heat of the summer our focus is on healthy turf and keeping our maintenance practices geared to doing so. We cut greens and roll every day, so this puts a lot of stress on the grass. To make sure that we limit the mechanical damage to the turf, we check the sharpness of our blades and act accordingly when needed. Another key item is to keep track of the employees mowing the greens and make sure that they are trained properly on turning and lifting the reels at the proper time. In a few short weeks we will be past the hottest days which will allow us to breathe a sigh of relief.
Always a big focus for us this time of year is chasing leaks on the golf course. We pick a day and fix as many as we can
and then typically wait for our next chance to fix more. A good day for us would find us fixing about 7 leaks. Each and every situation is different, and we never know what we'll get until we start digging. We have got some good news on the irrigation front, the Ryan Road pond is fully functional, and we now have the ability to easily transfer water from there to our irrigation ponds. Focus right now is on invitational so it's time to get back outside and get to work.

Happy August,
We are cruising right through the Summer and August has arrived. I would like to thank all the participants who played in the 2026 Men’s Invitational. It’s always an amazing event and creating an awesome experience is always a must. Congratulations to all the Flight Winners and Champions Tim Henning and Mike McCallister.
We are so excited to introduce a new menu starting early this month. Chef Brandon and his team always go above and beyond to bring the creativity to a new level. Also Tracy and her team will be offering up fresh new cocktails that will be refreshing for everyone.
Be on the lookout for patio nights that will feature live music along with the popular Bingo Night. Yours truly will be hosting and we will be offering a wonderful evening of food and fun so sign up early. As Summer is in full swing, I look forward to seeing all the families out before the kids head back to school. See you out at the Club.

From The Academy
We hope that you are enjoying your summer and playing your best golf ever. We have been busy at the academy.
• We are proud of the 160 junior golfers who finished their 5-week instruction program.
• We had a blast with another couples clinic and three ladies clinics.
• We were thrilled to introduce golf to over 50 children who had never golfed before.
• We wish our 45 high school development golfers the best of luck as they enter their high school golf season.
• We had a great PGA Junior League season with over 140 golfers participating.
Last month, I mentioned that we participated in the PGA Jr. League Firestone Cup. We are super proud of our team of Santino Barber, Angelo Barber, Quinn Cassidy, Griffin French, Emilie Kutz, Reagan Kutz, Grace Sword and Jack Zehner. These juniors played the West Course at Firestone and represented Medina CC well. They finished in 5th place.

We are also happy to report that one of our 17U PGA Jr. League players had a hole in one. Congratulations to Luke Rizzo for acing Hole 11 on Monday, July 13th. That is our second hole in one during PGA Jr. League play at Medina CC over the years.
As the summer programs wrap up, our fall programs begin. Ladies, we have 3 new clinics that begin soon. Juniors, we have our fall PGA Jr. League that starts soon. We are proud to be hosting a group of U.S. Veterans in our fall PGA Hope classes.
We also are proud to be hosting two Drive Chip & Putt events. One of those was held on July 26 which was the largest Drive Chip & Putt qualifier in Northern Ohio. The second event will be held on Sunday, August 16, which will be stage 2 of Drive Chip & Putt in the 4-stage quest for the finals at August National Golf Club.
