Dear Medina Country Club Members,
As we look ahead to another exciting season at Medina Country Club, I am proud to share that our Club continues to grow and thrive. We are currently one of the fastest-growing clubs in Northeast Ohio, built on a strong foundation of being one of the premier family-focused clubs in the greater Cleveland area. This momentum is a direct reflection of the vibrant community that each of you helps create.
With that growth in mind, I’m pleased to share that golf memberships are currently available. There has never been a better time to introduce your family and friends to all that Medina Country Club has to offer.
As
a token of our appreciation, we are offering a one-month dues referral credit to any current member who refers a new golf member to the Club. Your continued support and advocacy mean everything to us, and we look forward to welcoming new families into our community.
I would also like to take a moment to congratulate Alec Paine on his well-deserved promotion to Bar Manager. Alec has been an integral part of our team, and his leadership, energy, and commitment to exceptional service will continue to elevate our member experience. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome back our seasonal team members returning from school. Their enthusiasm and dedication play a vital role in making each season memorable.
This year marks our first full season of the reversible 9—truly one of the most exciting and innovative projects in all of golf. We are eager for members to experience the creativity,

challenge, and variety it brings to the course. It is a unique feature that sets Medina Country Club apart and adds a new level of enjoyment for players of all skill levels. We are proud of the family oriented aspect it adds to our great Club.
To further enhance your experience, we are also excited to announce an upgrade to our cart fleet. This season, we will expand from 76 to 90 carts, ensuring greater availability, comfort, and convenience for all our members and guests. The fleet is newer than our current fleet, something that we are very excited for.

Spring is here, and the energy around Medina Country Club is building as we prepare for the long-awaited opening of the golf course. Our team has been working hard at getting the Pro Shop stocked and in top condition, and we’re excited to welcome everyone back for another incredible season. We have a lot of great new merchandise for you to choose from. This year brings a major upgrade with the arrival of 90 new golf carts, enhancing both comfort and on-course experience for all members and guests.
We’re also proud to announce the release of the 2026 Golf Guide, your go-to resource for events, programming, and important information throughout the year. Tournament
registration is now open, and we encourage everyone to sign up through Golf Genius early as events are already filling up. Whether you're looking to compete, connect, or simply enjoy the game, there’s something for everyone this season. We can’t wait to see you out on the course!

Spring Golf Update
We’re excited to share a quick Spring golf update as the warmer weather approaches. The start of the season is just around the corner, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Medina Country Club.
• We anticipate placing pins back in the greens beginning Saturday, March 21, weather permitting.
• The golf course will remain walking only until conditions continue to dry out. While the Club is closed on Mondays, the course will open for walking after 2:00 PM.
• The outdoor range and short game area will remain closed at this time. Indoor practice is available in the UPC practice area for warm-ups and practice.
• We are preparing for the opening of the Reversible Course later this spring and are excited for its first full season.
• Official NOGA score posting begins April 1, 2026. Please be sure to post all eligible rounds.
• Club storage will be available beginning April 1.
• New merchandise has arrived in the Pro Shop—stop in to get ready for the season with the latest equipment and apparel.
We’re looking forward to a great 2026 season and can’t wait to see you back out at the Club.
Grounds Crew Update
I would like to take this opportunity to give everyone an update on the maintenance staff progresses out on the course. With the weather becoming better, we have been able to clean up sticks and branches that have fallen over winter. We have also been able to clean off all the greens and tees of any debris that has collected on those areas over the past few months. Additionally, we cut down and cut up several trees that have fallen from the bike path onto the golf course. We are close to finishing up our project of clearing brush and small trees in the creek between number four and six and we will continue to work on that area for the next week or so. The winter maintenance of the
green, tee, fairway, and rough mowers is nearly complete; we are moving to sprayers and tractors after the mowers are finished.
Hopefully the weather will continue to improve, and I will see you all on the golf course soon enough.

THROWBACK SPOTLIGHT
Men’s Opening Day in 2024 was a great way to kick off the season at Medina Country Club. After a long winter, it was good to see the course full again and members back out enjoying the start of another golf season. Opening Day always brings a lot of excitement to the Club, and 2024 was no exception.

Around the Clubhouse
Hello and Welcome to April. While the weather is trying to break so we can get everybody out on the course, we have been working hard inside to make sure the Main Clubhouse Dining Room is ready to-go come April 1st. The Dining Room will be open Tuesday through Sunday so please feel free to come out and enjoy Chef Brandon’s amazing food.
As lockers open in the Men’s and Ladies Locker Rooms, please feel free to contact me if you would like a locker. Lockers are limited so if you are looking to have a locker for the 2026 season, please do so soon as they will fil up quickly. Larry will be back in the Locker Room this season so remember if you need some shoes cleaned, new shoelaces, or replacement spikes, Larry is your go too. Larry is here Tuesday through Saturday throughout the season and will be more than happy to help you with anything you need in the Locker Rooms.
Starting this year in the Grill Room, we will be switching to one-sized beer glasses for all draft beers. All Drafts will be served in a 20-ounce glass that you can fill up with any of our rotating beers. If you ever have a suggestion for a beer you would like to see on tap, please let myself or Alec know and we will do our best to get in the rotation. As we draw closer to golf season, we also will have an awesome calendar of Social Events coming with something for everybody to enjoy. I can’t wait to see everybody coming out to enjoy the warm Spring weather. See you soon!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Construction on the new clubhouse continues to move forward, with crews making steady progress on the framework. While some of the recent harsh weather and high winds have caused brief delays over the past few days, work has quickly resumed whenever conditions allow. We appreciate everyone’s patience as the team continues pushing ahead and bringing the structure to life.
Inside the Jim Wise Golf Academy
Spring is right around the corner, and we have some very exciting news to share with you. Yes, we are very excited to introduce our spring and summer golf clinic schedule that can be seen on the Medina Country Club website. But we have two other very exciting things happening that we are happy to report to you.
First, Medina Country Club will be hosting the USGA Ohio Elite Junior Team for practice on April 11th. In 2024, the USGA created a State Junior Team program with the goal to expand, strengthen and diversify the junior golf pipeline. The idea is to create a platform for children who found early success in golf and give them a training ground to take that early success to greater levels. The team has practiced at Muirfield Village Golf Club, Scioto Golf Club and we are proud that they recognized Medina Country Club and have asked to practice at our incredible facility. Feel free to stop by the practice areas on April 11th to watch the best junior talent in Ohio. We are even more proud that 2 individuals on the team are former PGA Junior Leaguers at Medina CC - welcome back Calli Reed and Elijah Stewart.
We are also proud to announce that our Lead Instructor Trevor Hazen has been selected to Captain the PGA Hope Ohio Team at the 2026 Secretary Cup. PGA Hope is a program to teach golf to our Military Veterans and Active-Duty Military to Thank them for their service and to provide support for them. Medina Country Club hosts two PGA Hope programs every year. The Secretary Cup is a national event to celebrate the program. Each year, 12 PGA Sections (out of 41) are selected to send a team of Hope Graduates to the Secretary Cup. Ohio was selected this year and as a leader in the Hope program, Trevor was honored with the Captaincy. Those 12 teams will gather at Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, PA on May 11th. Although the day is more about camaraderie and celebrating the program, the teams will compete in an 18-hole event to crown this years champion. Good Luck Trevor.
