macular hole is a rare eye condition that can blur the central vision, affecting everyday tasks like driving or reading. Usually linked to age-related changes, these holes occur when an opening forms in the macula. Some patients with macular holes may not require treatment right away but surgeons may recommend surgery if a macular hole is getting bigger, getting worse, or causing serious vision problems.
