STOLEN TEMPLESTOWE CAR IN ARSON ATTACK
■ A car stolen in a Templestowe aggravated burglary was used in an arson attack at Moorabbin, Police say. Police have charged four males following an arson attack in Moorabbin on Wed\nesday (Sep. 17). It is alleged the males attended the vacant building on Nepean Hwy about 12.40am where they set fire to the premises, causing moderate damage. Officers observed an allegedly stolen Subaru Forester fleeing the scene shortly after the arson. Air Wing tracked the Subaru to BerwickCranbourne Rd, Clyde North, where stop sticks were successfully deployed about 1.20am. A 22-year-old Carrum Downs man, a 20-yearold Noble Park man, a 21-year-old Noble Park man, and an 18-year-old Frankston man were arrested nearby. The four menwere charged with criminal damage by fire, going equipped to steal, theft of motor vehicle, driving in a manner dangerous and committing an indictable offence while on bail.

■ A motorcyclist has lost his wheels for a month after being caught travelling at more than double the speed limit in Glen Waverley. Nunawading Highway Patrol members were conducting laser speed checks on the Monash Fwy when they heard the roaring of a rapidly approaching motorbike just after 3am. The officers say that they could barely believe their eyes when their laser clocked the rider at the alleged speed of 225-kmh. They caught up with the Honda when he exited the freeway and stopped at a set of lights at the Clyde Rd off-ramp. The 22-year-old rider could provide police with no reason as to why he was in such a hurry. Not only was he travelling at dangerously high speeds, he was wearing only a tracksuit which would provide zero protection if he came off his bike. The Narre Warren South man’s motorcycle was impounded at a cost of $1120.50 and he can expect to be charged on summons with speed dangerous.
