■ Community members are invited to sign up for Kingston, Represent to help shape key decisions, projects and services over the next two years. The Council is inviting residents, businesses, and community groups to register for the new Representative Community Panel. This panel will feature 220 people to represent the many different groups, ages, backgrounds, cultural backgrounds, and perspectives that make up the wonderful Kingston community. Kingston Mayor Cr Hadi Saab said that the panel will play an important role in helping to shape Council’s decisions over the next two years.
Bentleigh sale
■ Glen Eira Council proposes to sell adjoining owner at 61 Gladwyn Avenue, Bentleigh East, by private treaty. The land is to be sold at current market value, as assessed by Council’s valuer. The purchaser must reimburse Council its costs associated with selling the land. Submissions will be considered by Glen Eira Council in making a decision in relation to the proposal to sell the land.
STONNINGTON PARKLET ON THE MOVE AGAIN
■ Stonnington's mobile parklet is on the move again. The outdoor space, previously located in South Yarra, has now moved to outside Thirty Mill Café on Milton Parade in Malvern. The parklet has been supporting local business over the festive season – giving visitors to the area an extra outdoor space to sit and relax. Originally used as part of a community engagement series ‘Street Talk’ last year, where it was relocated nine times within seven precincts, the Council says the parklet was a great way for Stonnington staff to meet and talk to the community and invite them to have a conversation. look, the parklet has now moved to Malvern, where it will remain for the next couple of months. Thirty Mill Café is trialling the parklet and so far, enjoying seeing their customers relaxing with a cuppa and bite to eat in the novel outdoor space. Michael, manager of Thirty Mill Café, said that the parklet is a massive plus, and his customers are staying longer because of it. “Our favourite feature is that the parklet means there are no cars next to tables, so our customers stay longer as they feel safer and can enjoy the atmosphere.” Customers are ordering a second round of coffee, Michael said.

New members
■ Bayside Council has appointed two new members, Adrian Spurr and Louise Doyle, to the Bayside Arts and Gallery Advisory Committee. The appointment increases the number of members to 10, consisting of eight community members and two Councillors. Bayside Mayor Cr Hanna El Mouallem said the new additions to the Advisory Committee would be joining a high calibre group with an integral role in arts and culture.

■ Yarra City Council says that it is creating more opportunities for its residents to speak to their councillors to discuss issues that matter to them with a series of in-person events. Councillor Conversations are to be held monthly between February and November across a variety of locations.
