■ THE Andrews Labor Government must keep its promise to protect the sand-belt chain of parks and urgently investigate all other options to the rail stabling yard with which it is pushing ahead, says Clarinda Liberal candidate Anthony Richardson. Mr Richardsn said the Government without consultation – is moving ahead with its plan to put a stabling yard on the Delta site in Heatherton. “The Delta site is totally unsuitable for a yard as it directly abuts many homes, is adjacent to the protected green wedge, and its development will cause huge disruption and environmental degradation. “Labor is forging ahead with this ill-considered plan despite the fact that it has consistently promised to protect this site, and the broader sand-belt chain of parks. “Kingston Coun-
