Dandenong driver in death crash
■ Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a collision that has claimed the life of a man in Cheltenham. It is believed a blue Toyota sedan was travelling along Charman Rd when it collided with a red Vespa motorcycle near Sydney St about 6.50am on Wednesday, February 23. The rider, a 38-year-old Mentone man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He sadly passed away the next day. The driver of the car, a 37year-old Dandenong woman, was taken to hospital for observation. The investigation remains ongoing. ■ Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after a man performed an explicit sexual act on a Frankston line train. Investigators have been told the man performed the act in the presence of a 14-yearold girl while the train was travelling between Southland and Chelsea railway stations about 4pm on Friday, Janury 14. The man then left the train at Carrum railway station. The man is perceived to be
Caucasian in appearance, with a heavy build, short dark balding hair and a tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt and black knee-length shorts.
