■ POLICE are are appealing for information after a hit-run collision in Altona Meadows. Police have been told the unregistered scooter collided with a cyclist on Laverton Creek Trail near Victoria St on Feb. 12.
Officers were told two men riding the scooter did not stop at the scene and ran from the crash on foot northbound towards Victoria St. The cyclist, a 51-year-old Laverton man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Investigators have released images of items left behind at the scene which include a silver SYM brand scooter, a red and black helmet and a silver metal chain necklace.
