■ The Northern Football Netball League will launch its 2023 season with a split first round on April 7-15 for Division 1 and 2. Macleod will play Greensborough on Good Friday (Apr. 7) afternoon at De Winton Park. On Saturday, April 15, the other Division 1 fixtures are: Hurstbridge v West PrestonLakeside, Montmorency v Whittlesea, Heidelberg v North Heidelberg and Bundoora v Banyule. The Division 2 season starts at 2.10pm on Good Friday (Apr. 7) with Eltham hosting Panton Hill. Epping will play Thomastown. Other Division 2 games will be played on Saturday, April 15: Northcote Park v Diamond Creek, Watsonioa v Lower Plenty, South Morang v St Mary’s. Division 3 games start Saturday, April 15: Old Eltham Collegians v Mernda, Kinglake v Reservoir, and Laurimar v Kilmore. NFNL officials say thatFinals for Divsion 1 will take place on September 2-3 (Week 1), September 9-10 (Week 2), a Sunday Prelimianary Final on September 17, and a Grand Final on Saturday, September 23. Division 2 finals will take place one week earlier, with the Grand Final listed for Saturday, September 16. Division 3 finals will be yet another week earlier, with the Grand Final slated for Saturday, December 9. Division 3 sees the inclusion of Kinglake, who have left Division 3 of the Outer Eastern League, which now has a six-team competition comprising Yea, Broadford, Alexandra, Warburton-Millgrove, Powelltown and Yarra Junction.
