WANTED OVER YALLAMBIE FIGHT
■ Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following an assault in Yallambie. Investigators have been told an unknown man assaulted another man in the vicinity of Greensborough Rd about 4.30pm on May 2. A passer-by separated the men and the offender fled from the scene. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any serious injuries. Despite extensive enquiries investigators have been unable to identify the individual involved and are releasing a CCTV image of a man they believe could assist with their investigation. He is perceived to be of Asian appearance, with a slim build, aged in his early 20s and was wearing a white t-shirt and dark track pants. Anyone who recognises the man or could provide information that could assist police with their enquiries is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au

■ The lives and legacies of Uncle Archie Roach and Aunty Ruby Hunter will be celebrated through a new $287,000 public artwork to be installed in Fitzroy. Both Uncle Archie and Aunty Ruby paved the way for First Peoples within the arts. Aunty Ruby's 1994 album, Thoughts Within, was the first solo album to be released by a First Peoples female artist and earned an ARIAAward nomination.

■ John Holland has been appointed to deliver a $462 million redevelopment of the Thomas Embling Hospital at Fairfield. The project includes a new dedicated 34bed women’s precinct, a 48-bed medium security men’s facility, a new entry complex, onsite carpark and administration facilities. Site preparation works are expected to start in the coming weeks, with major construction to be completed by 2024.
