It has a total area of 11.7 hectares, and is largely vacant. To implement Wantirna Health Precinct West, the current planning controls need to be amended to support the new land usage.

● Roshena Campbell, Liberal The latest date for the return of the writ is on or before Wednesday, June 7. The Aston seat has been held by the Liberals since 1990. The Liberal Party recorded a small majority with 50.2 per cent of the two-party preferred vote on polling day last year. With more votes cast before polling day or as postal votes, the Liberal majority was boosted substantially with 55.0 per cent of the Pre-poll vote and 55.3 per cent with postal votes. Overall Labor received 60 per cent of preferences including 85.4 per cent of Green preferences. The Liberal Party received around two-thirds of preferences from the United Australia Party, Pauline Hanson's One Nation and the Liberal Democrats.
