■ The state-of-the-art Cardinia Cultural Centre is set to be transformed into an immersive and interactive Christmas wonderland featuring digital artworks, live bands and workshops until Friday, December 24.

Drug den destroyed

■ A Frankston drug den was destroyed by fire. The Davey St property was engulfed in flames, but no-one was on the premises, according to officials. Frankston City Council voted earlier for demolition of the property. Councillors said the propety was beyond redemption.

■ The R.E. Ross Trust has withdrawn its application for a proposed granite quarry in the Arthurs Seat State Park in Dromana, following strong community opposition.
